  1. Rod is awesome. We first met him on the Mardi Gras and he was in the Pig and Anchor...then we saw he moved to the Alchemy when we sailed on Celebration in December.
  2. Any chance you caught the bartenders name? He looks like Rod who we met on the Mardi Gras πŸ™‚
  3. Man when we were there in October 2022...it poured...but we had the time of our lives hanging out in the pool and meeting new people πŸ™‚
  4. OMG that is my favorite...I cannot wait for December to get my Smokey Watermelon Margarita fix from P & A πŸ™‚
  5. I am so enjoying your review and wonderful pics. So glad I stumbled upon it πŸ™‚ Thank you for all the time and effort put into this.
  6. I am amazed at how much you saw in that one day out and about. Thank you for so many great pics...felt like I was there πŸ™‚
  7. I am probably in the minority, but I was glad they did away with them. I feel like they are such a waste of paper. But that is just my opinion. I carry my phone for pictures anyhow, so I like to just use the app. I know a lot of people lock their phone away for the cruise, which I totally understand, and for that I am glad those people can get their paper copies πŸ™‚
  8. We are sailing the Celebration in December and cannot wait. LOVED the Mardi Gras. Our very first cruise was on the original Celebration for our honeymoon (July 1997). Thats what started our love of cruising.
  9. Looking forward to your review. We have to wait until December, so your review will help get me through πŸ™‚
  10. The Smoky Watermelon Margarita is sooooo good. And you are so right, the P&A Bloody Marys are the bomb.
  11. Thank you for taking us along Greg. I so look forward to your reviews. They keep me entertained while I await my next adventure πŸ™‚
  12. My favorite bar on the Mardi Gras was the Fortune Teller. @jimbo5544 or anyone else that has sailed the Celebration, what bar on the Celebration is comparable?
  13. Our first cruise was on the original Celebration as well, but in 1997 πŸ™‚ Looking forward to reading your review.
  14. Pig and Anchors Smoky Watermelon Margarita and the Fortune Tellers Golden Galaxy. Sooo good πŸ™‚
  15. I try to avoid the elevators at all costs the first 2 days of the cruise. Granted, that's a little tough on the ships with 19 floors πŸ™‚
  16. OMG P & A Spicy Bloody Marys...I need to either get back on the Mardi Gras or book the Celebration earlier then next December....UGH πŸ™‚
  17. Its only been 2 months, but my oh my how I miss the P & A and the delicious Smoky Watermelon Margarita.
  18. So sorry to hear your experience was not a good one. We boarded the Mardi Gras on 10/15 and I also sailed her in June. My experience was the total opposite. The food in the dining room was ok, but I dont ever enjoy that too much (only ate there once). But the Pig and Anchor was amazing, the Brisket was soooo good and the mac and cheese was delicious. And I am still missing the Smoky Watermelon Margherita 😞 We ended up eating there twice and spent a great amount of time there watching sports and enjoying some drinks. We ate at Cucina one night. I had the Farfalle a la Pistachio, which was quite good. And we ate at Chibang and really enjoyed it. I dont think we ever waited more than 5/10 minutes for a drink. Which with having 6000 people on board suprised me. Dont give up on the Mardi Gras :-)
  19. Sailed the Mardi Gras in June and will again in October. Hands down my favorite Carnival ship and I cant wait to be on her again. My favorite was the Pig and Anchor, food was amazing, drinks were great (I think my favorite was the spicy Watermelon Martini), and the atmosphere was fun. And if you like Bloody Marys, dont miss them from here. We are huge football fans, GO STEELERS!!, and cant wait to catch some games during our October cruise. Also, dont miss the Fortune Teller Bar. The drinks and bartenders were amazing. My favorite was the "Golden Galaxy". I typically dpnt like sweeter drinks, but it was really good πŸ™‚
  20. We cruised on the Magic last December and my husband and I are die hard Steelers fans πŸ™‚ Pretty sure the Dream is the same layout. We watched a lot of football at the Casino Bar as well as the red frog. However I am not sure if the Dream has the Red Frog pub. Either way there will be places to catch a game.
  21. I sailed the MG the first week of June. And yes the walls in the room were metal. We brought magnetic hooks and they worked great for hanging stuff up. I cant answer on the ceiling though :-)
