gospelle Posted August 12, 2017 #1 Share Posted August 12, 2017 tried to book on royal's website. I get as far as entering passenger info and then get "crown & anchor number is invalid" message. (numbers are not invalid). I don't want to call in. I want to fix the problem so I can research fares and see what my cost is because booking deals for c&a are apparently "applied at checkout". would love to hear from anyone who has had this problem and fixed it. (please, don't tell me to call in. Surely I should expect to complete a booking online if such an option exists). thanks
setsail Posted August 12, 2017 #2 Share Posted August 12, 2017 It won't be fixed and if you don't want to call you will just sit at home or do another kind of vacation. The phone lines are open 24-7 Weekends seem to be the worst time
deliver42 Posted August 12, 2017 #3 Share Posted August 12, 2017 Thy usually do IT maintenance on Saturday. Try again later. I can put in my C&A number, but on my wife's, I get the same message. So I just leave hers off. You only need one to get the C&A discount. Otherwise, I would call . To me, it wouldn't be a big deal.

NatsFanOnBoard Posted August 12, 2017 #5 Share Posted August 12, 2017 not helpfulI'd actually echo the point to call. I like using the web too, but for a recent booking with four cabins including children in their own cabin, a guest with dietary restrictions, and a few special occasions, one call took care of everything, got me better pricing than I was able to get on my own and was able to identify a number of cabin options that I couldn't readily see online (because I was trying to book inside and balcony cabins near each other). There is something to be said for calling the experts rather than doing it on your own.

jzad Posted August 12, 2017 #8 Share Posted August 12, 2017 The same thing happens to me on Royal. I always have to call for my reservations. Sent from my iPad using Forums
deliver42 Posted August 12, 2017 #9 Share Posted August 12, 2017 As far as I can tell, at least 3 people, including myself, suggested you call. You claim that's not helpful, so I suggest you try another vacation where people will tell you what you want to hear.

However, RC's website is so poorly implemented/downright broken that if you're not willing to call you may have to do business with another cruise line. Also avoid Celebrity, as they use the same broken system.

Isnt that done before you book your cruise? It's very obvious your not serious about booking otherwise you would just call. RCCL has horrible website service and we all have experienced that same problems. That's why we call in and speak to a live person. You can always back out of any deal... sapelleti Posted August 13, 2017 #12 Share Posted August 13, 2017 I could not complete booking online yesterday as well. I called, gave them wonderful rep my C&A info and was booked in no time. Could not have been easier and the rep, "Sandra," was amazing!
Amethyst4110 Posted August 11 #13 Share Posted August 11 (edited) I am trying to find out the total prices for my brother and I to compare between 2 cruises and am not ready to book yet. I get the error message when I put in the 2nd person's info. Do I have to call to just get a quote without booking? FYI my brother has never been on a Royal Carribean ship. I am the only one who has a C&A number. Edited August 11 by Amethyst4110
