Princess 2017 transfers to Rome Airport

Has any one disembarked in Rome (Civitavecchia) this season and noted the time of the first transfer to Rome Airpot (FCO)? The ship docks at 05:00 and yet Princess says the first trip is at 09:00, which seems odd. Someone else said that this season things are different than other years. Any help is appreciated.

If you want to be assured of an early departure I suggest making private arrangements to FCO.

We always use a private transfer, romecabs.com Have used several times to and from the port. Very professional.

 

We are going out of Barcelona in October... have been reading even flying in things are different. Suspect security issues are in play all over Europe.

Use a private transfer or be subject to Princess' slow-moving transfers. You can share the cost with others on your roll call. We did this and ended up sharing with 8 others. The way the driver was driving, I think we made a land-speed record. :D

The private transfer will be about the same or cheaper as

the transfer for two. You wouldn't be able to get off the ship

until port workers show up somewhere between 07:00 and 08:00

It takes about 50minutes to get you to the terminal that you

request. Some flights to North America now go out of termial

1 at least the check in part. Check your airline.

If you book Romecabs for a transfer from the ship to the airport, do they pick you up on the dock out side the customs hall, or do you have to go to the transportation square on a shuttle bus to meet them?
