Casino Rate Question

When sailing on a casino rate, are there any other perks given? Unfortunately due to health reasons, this will be my mother's last cruise and it happens to be a casino rate in her name. I'm hoping there might be a little something extra just for the memory for her.

Yes, if it's a premier or ultra cruise. If not, I would speak with the casino host or manager regarding your Mom. They have done some special things for us in the past..like sending sweets to our cabin or free steakhouse offers. Hope this helps! God Bless and have a wonderful cruise with your Mom!

Normally there is some type of casino cash given based on previous play, DOU card and based on play during the cruise they may offer some type of comp dinner or treats to the room. However as stated before ask the host, if there is something you think she would enjoy maybe they can help you out. Good Luck and Enjoy.

From Carnival's web site:

hand, every spin. If you hit 7,500 points in one sailing, you’ll qualify for Carnival Players Club Premier cruises. That’s an invite-only perk, not available to just anyone.

While aboard these special sailings, you'll enjoy these exclusive onboard amenities:

  • PREMIER CHECK-IN: Enjoy expedited boarding — get settled into your vacation faster.
  • WELCOME ABOARD COCKTAIL PARTY: Mingle with our spirited casino hosts, and other Carnival Premier invitees, at the official kickoff to the action.
  • COMPLIMENTARY DRINKS: We keep the drinks flowing while you’re playing in the casino. Sip cocktails or soda? Either one’s on the house.
  • COMMEMORATIVE CARNIVAL PLAYERS CLUB® GIFT: This special token of our appreciation will remind you of how much fun you had.
  • EXCLUSIVE EVENTS AND TOURNAMENTS: You’re on the short list to attend exclusive onboard events, play in private tournaments, and even get the chance to win a FREE cruise.
  • OTHER PERKS AND SURPRISES:You know how it goes… surprises come when you least expect it.

Is your cruise a Premier Casino Cruise or an Ultra Premier Casino cruise? If so, there is free cash and free drinks in the casino, a special party on embarkation day, probably a free bottle of wine and chocolate covered strawberries (based on my numerous Premier Casino cruises). If it's just a casino rate, you may not get anything. Our next cruise is a bounce back free casino courtesy of the Players Club (only had to pay port charges and taxes of $174). Nothing more expected. Previous casino rates have given me free drinks starting the first night instead of having to reach the usual minimum number of points. Ask a casino host the first night if anything special is available to you. Enjoy the cruise!

Reading some of the above posts, you may be given confusing answers.

Here is the way I see it.

There is a difference on the offers.

Casino rate. Is just a lowered rate than Past Guest or Early Saver. Sometimes Casino Cash ($50 or less)

Premier Casino Cruise. Lowered rate along with special offers in the casino (DOU Card) and perks like Steakhouse dinners, free bottles of wine, cookies, CC Strawberries. etc.

Bounce Back Offer. A free cruise from a list of availabl cruises where all you have to pay is for Taxes and Port Fees.

I am sure I could be a little off on some of these descriptions, and others will correct me, but this is pretty close.

Which ever rate you got, it is probably better than jusy the normal cruise rates, so enjoy the perks and have a great time with your Mom. Hoping her the best.

Again thanks to all who responded. Way I figure it, we will have a good time and enjoy each other's company regardless of what's is offered or isn't. I know this will be her last trip out of Canada so we're going to have a blast no matter what.
