Normal showtime in the theatre is at 9:30pm - either by the production team of singers & dancers or by a visiting performer (e.g. singer, comic, pianist, magician etc); some of the Cruise Directors also have their own show that they will perform one night of the cruise.

Sometimes there is also a pre-dinner show at 6pm, including a performance by crew members towards the end of the cruise.

On the occasional night when there isn't a show in the theatre then a film will normally be shown.

Other than that there is live music in the bars pre & post dinner.

hbe,

Most cruise lines have two shows per night if they have two dinner seatings. Since Regent has open seating, this is not necessary. If you wish to attend a particular show, you would need to finish your dinner in time to slipping into the theatre prior to the show beginning.

And this is our main complaint about Regent. I seem to be in the minority, but a 9:30 pm show is just too early for us. We do not like to eat dinner before 8:00 pm while on holiday and we do not want to rush the meal. Therefore, we never are able to make the evening show as dinner can take almost two hours. A 10:00 pm start for the show is more civilized, but it seems most people on Regent want to eat early, go to the show, and then to bed.

Many of us find the shows to be fine or even a tad late. From what I hear, the busiest time to dine in CR is 7:00 p.m. This allows over 2 hours for dinner and you can still make the show. If we want to see a show, we insure that the time we dine enables us to get to the show on time.

It is tough to juggle schedules sometimes. Cruise ships seem to be quite regimented with the times of their events and seem to cement them in to the same time slot each day/night.
