tonyd285 Posted September 16, 2017 #1 Share Posted September 16, 2017 Because of hurricane Irma the itinerary was substantially changed. The alternate ports were fine and the whole experience was accomplished flawlessly. We visited Curacao, Barbados, Martinique, St. Lucia and Antigua. St. Thomas, Tortola and St. Martin were not visited because of the extensive destruction to those islands. The captain kept all the guests informed of the status of the hurricane and changes, some made almost on-the-fly. We arrived back in Miami well earlier than originally scheduled on Friday, largely because so many of the guests were from Florida and eager to check on their homes. The cruise was wonderful and surprisingly with as many guests from Europe (primarily from Germany and the UK) as from the States aprovidend Canada. The staff was incredibly friendly and hospitable. We were in Aqua Class and, as usual, enjoyed Blu and the access to the lounge on Deck 11 and the Persian Garden. Despite the changes it was an excellent cruise. Our thanks to Celebrity for their fine efforts to keep us safe despite the hurricane threat.
rtn Posted September 16, 2017 #2 Share Posted September 16, 2017 Happy to hear you cruise was enjoyable....we set sail on the 25th, this being our first Celebrity cruise. It has been mentioned on the boards lately that water bottles have returned to Aqua cabins. Could you give us your experience with this. Thank you

Rare WNcruiser Posted September 16, 2017 #6 Share Posted September 16, 2017 We are also sailing on the 25th and were happy to receive our new itinerary more than a week in advance. I'm sure its not easy cancelling three ports and finding three new ones with such short notice. Will just be happy returning to Equinox for the third time! :D

tonyd285 Posted September 16, 2017 Author #8 Share Posted September 16, 2017 Concerning water bottles in Aqua Class. We received two bottles the first day of the cruise. A friend, traveling with us, asked for water more frequently and the cabin attendant provided it with no charge. There are also two bottles of upscale water in the cabin. Do not use them unless you are prepared to pay $5 each.
