FLL port to airport?

There is only 1 non-stop flight from FLL to SFO by United, but it's at 8AM

 

The Royal Caribbean Allure of the Sea said will get into port around 6pm.

 

Is this enough time to get off boat and get to FLL airport to make the 8AM? Or it would be too stressful?

Just clarifying but I am thinking you mean the ship arrives to port at 6 AM not 6 PM.

 

Although Allure of the Seas does a great job getting people off the ship (better then any other cruise line) I would still be a bit concerned with 8:00 AM.

I think that's way too early for a flight no matter what cruise ship your coming in on. I would not chance it.

OMG!!! No Way!!! Even though the ship is scheduled to pull into port at 6am ....does not mean you disembark the ship at 6am. :o

I'd plan to either use another airline that has a later flight or stay in town one night after your cruise. Way less worry

Even if they arrive at 6am, and customs clears the ship in under an hour. You would still need to get to the airport by 7:30 at the latest. No way.

Actually the Allure and Harmony usually start express walk off around 6:15 or 6:30. The arrival time of 6:00 that RCI lists is actually the time they expect to be cleared; they are often alongside Port Everglades by 4:30.

 

So you will get reports of walking off the ship, thru ICE, into a taxi and arriving at FLL by 7:00.

(Surprised there haven't been any such posts yet. But its still early on a Saturday....:rolleyes:)

 

So its up to the OP if they feel lucky. Me, I would be going nuts with worry the entire cruise that I wouldn't be able to get to the very front of the walk-off line as it starts.

Way too risky imho. Anything happens with getting back on time or docking and you are missing your flight.
