nelblu Posted September 23, 2017 #1 Share Posted September 23, 2017 Racked up 600 points on the Brilliance and all I got was $10 back in free play. I was expecting a t-shirt, hat, key chain, etc., but no. I guess it's gone into the sunset the way Shipshape stuff did.
CRUSINGFAMILY Posted September 23, 2017 #2 Share Posted September 23, 2017 I do understand your disappointment but you should have received a $100 dollar voucher for your next cruise. But I do agree, we just came back from a transatlantic and I was also disappointed that we did not get any t shirts or any type of stuff like that. Daghis Posted September 23, 2017 #3 Share Posted September 23, 2017 On my last cruise, in addition to receiving a free cruise certificate, they also credited my onboard account $20 for each 1,000 points (including fractional amounts) that I had earned. I didn't have to do anything to receive that credit; it was applied automatically on the last day.

Brian J None received and do you ask for the $ off next cruise certs. Wonder if the elimination is fleet wide.
junior3006 Posted September 23, 2017 #5 Share Posted September 23, 2017 Just off the Explorer. We were informed (a day late) that we had to ask Wednesday by 10pm, for a cruise that ended Friday, for our points to be applied to our onboard account. Instead we received slot vouchers for our points. My wife and I both had over 4600 points each. We put both into one machine to change the voucher and cashed it out at the cashier. Just curious, is it 4600 tier points or $46. If 4600 tier points, did you get a free cruise. On Brilliance there was, again from memory(?), that if you earned 2500 tier points you would get a free cruise.

I always use that money we earned from the Mickey Mouse points, to dump back into the slots, it gives me some extra points ;) Just remembered, make sure when you tap your Seapass card or the WOW band on Anthem, each and every time it should register your name and not Guest, as Guest has appeared quite a few times for me. One time I didn't realize it had Guest, once I noticed it, I took a picture with my phone of the points and told the Host, she did apply those points to my account with no problem. If you see Guest, hit goodbye and tap card again, you should fine.

The point structure for a free cruise is 2400 -inside room 3600-oceanview room 4800-balcony For every 1000 points, you get $20 which you can use in the machines or put that money towards your bill. Depending on the ship and Casino Host, you may have to remind the Host that you want to use that money towards your bill. I come up with $96 for 4600 points. gatour Posted September 23, 2017 #9 Share Posted September 23, 2017 I remember Shipshape stuff. In my younger days, it actually got me out of my cabin early to participate in the walks etc, to earn the ship shape dollars. This was after a night of partying. Racked up 600 points on the Brilliance and all I got was $10 back in free play. I was expecting a t-shirt, hat, key chain, etc., but no. I guess it's gone into the sunset the way Shipshape stuff did. Both My DW and I earned the free cruise and the certificates were left in our cabin. We opted for the cash since we already have cruises booked through early 2019, and their calendar only goes out to 2018.
matj2000 Posted September 23, 2017 #11 Share Posted September 23, 2017 (edited) Why would anyone want a T-shirt, Keychain, Hat, etc? I could not think of anything more useless and unneeded... Edited September 23, 2017 by matj2000

It may be useless to you, but I appreciate it and use/wear it. It's better than getting minimum cash that I plowed back. The key chains, I give to my grandkids.
