Towels, blankets for the beach

First Caribbean cruise. How do you deal with towels, or something to sit on when spending time at the beach?

Beach towels will be placed in your cabin the day before you dock. When you get back from the beach, place the beach towels on the floor in the bathroom and they will be replaced with clean ones for the next beach day.

Yes, normally placed in room. But on one cruise last year they did not place in room, but you had to pick up and sign out when leaving the ship and then return them when returning and make sure they marked your name as returned. Otherwise they charge some exorbitant fee. But agree, all other times have been placed in the room. Don't know why that one was different. May have been Westy, but can't remember for sure.

You take the pool towels....rent chairs! ALL cruise lines provide towels for pool and beach. No need to pack them! You do NOT need to "hide" the towels! Just return what you borrow...that's all they ask!

AH -- be aware -- if the crew at the gangway see the solid color -- light blue or dark blue -- they will stop you and have you sign out those towels!!

There are no blankets to take to the beach.

You can pick up extra towels around the pool area. NOTE -- just pack them inside of a bag so that the staff do not see them.

They use different beach towels (striped) and pool towels (dark blue) for a reason. They wash the sandy striped ones separately. Smuggling pool towels off the ship could be construed as theft.
