Johnny940 Posted October 5, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 5, 2017 hi folks just wondering what we have to wear while dining
YellowDog Posted October 5, 2017 #2 Share Posted October 5, 2017 The actual "rules" are on their site. Opinions on dress code are always heated...but what I SAW on the Divina were a lot of men in khaki pants (slacks) and a polo or camp shirt (hawaiian shirt) type thing or a button up dress shirt and slacks (open collar). Women in slacks and blouses or skirts or sundresses. I guess what some might call smart casual or something like that. Hope that helps.
Rare Essiesmom Posted October 5, 2017 #3 Share Posted October 5, 2017 My impression of 'smart casual' on Divina was that the women interpreted it as 'smart' and the men as 'casual'. EM

Rare Beamafar Posted October 8, 2017 #6 Share Posted October 8, 2017 The following link shows the "suggested" dress code along with what's not permitted(officially, anyway): https://boards.cruisecritic.com/showpost.php?p=53212942&postcount=
Proseccoandsun Posted October 8, 2017 #7 Share Posted October 8, 2017 I've seen people turned away in shorts in the evening in both MDR and YC. But on the flip side, I've also seen them walk into YC on gala night in shorts. I dress as suggested but you see it all.

Rare Beamafar Posted October 11, 2017 #9 Share Posted October 11, 2017 What about jeans do anyone get turned away in jeans on non gala nights? You won't even get turned away in jeans on Gala (now "Elegance") nights!
GoatMouthB Posted October 14, 2017 #10 Share Posted October 14, 2017 I bought my husband some really nice linen dress shorts. Can he wear these to dinner at night, or no? Is there a difference between what you wear in the pay restaurants compared to what you must wear in the general dining room?
Proseccoandsun Posted October 15, 2017 #11 Share Posted October 15, 2017 Yes, people do wear nice shorts in the MDR, but I wouldn't recommend wearing them on gala night. I never ate in Galaxy so not sure how fancy, but in the Eataly Steakhous people often talki about the lack of ambiance in there...excellent food, but the decor isn't what you'd expect. Plastic chairs, kind of stark ( I guess some would call it modern, lol), bread in paper bags. But their steaks are excellent and the pizza in the Eataly Pizzeria is excellent!
