Number of casino points for comp

Does anybody know how many casino points one needs to get a buyback offer/complimentary cruise from the casino and are they only interior cabins?

All the ones I have received have been for a free interior. You do have the option to pay a little and upgrade when you book. I'm not sure there is any rhyme or reason to how many points you need to get an offer. I've seen people with 1000 get a bounce back while others with 8000+ just a discounted cruise.

There is no set in stone casino player points earned during a single cruise that will guarantee a Bounce Back offer of at least a free cruise in a interior that is equal to the number of days of the cruise you earned the points on. It seems now that they work off of percentages and casino host(ess)/management recommendations. It appears the offers go to the top 10-15% of players per cruise date.

Personally in the last 3 years I've earned several free select date cruises from the casino department and every time the points that I played to was different. One cruise, for 7 days I only played enough to get to about 2,800 points, but because of rough seas and very few passengers visiting the casino that cruise that was enough to get the BB offer. On a 14 day cruise that was very port intense I only earned about just about 3,200 points and received an offer for a free interior on any cruise (including the 15 day Hawaii cruise). But on another 11 day itinerary that had more seadays that ports I was just shy of 4,300 points and did not receive any offer, but had noticed a large contingent of people that had well in excess of 20,000 points, putting me at the lower end of the spectrum.

Remember the points accumulated one 1 cruise do not accrue or carry over on your next cruise towards earning the free cruises anymore. BUT play over 2 years will be used to calculate casino cash back and other immediate on boarding perks IF offered the Pack-n-Play or Premier discounted cruises.

This is mind boggling to me! Once on Princess we had 15000 points and got nothing lol. They are definitely not like land based Casino's that use specific criteria for comps

this is completely not true, there is a specific formula for $ played and time played combined. You are not getting a free cruise unless you are a serious player.

Well....I guess I find out when we take our next Carnival cruise, I did think there was a formula....

 

We were just offered yesterday three different comp cruises which again as last month, had to turn it down which hurt so much to do....two of them were for next week and we got a comp balcony on the Oasis of the Seas and the third one was for the week we got back which my other half has a business trip to go on so had to turn down another Carnival freebie ugh!!

It is completely true whether you think it is or not. Money played and time played is for table comps, not slots.

Ok that could be only for tables, my other half only plays slots and we keep getting comp cruises only can't accept them because we always rebooked for another trip coming up...lol, I am going to stop booking cruises a year in advance lol

 

We also have premier deal offers, $900 cash back deals, not sure whether we take that or wait for a comp cruise?

Knock on wood and don't want to jinx my other half.....he wins! I have no idea how he does it and he only plays slots, he just has good luck in choosing machines, I seen it with my own eyes, thought he is putting in money behind my back but no he isn't he wins...sister in law witnessed it many times also we just don't understand how he does it, we take cruises he always wins, we go to Aruba he always always wins and its tax free too, even Hard Rock Tampa he wins, he won 13k in December....now he facetimes me and I see all the lights, the noises and the money! I never win, but putting all this aside lol.....the fact is he gets back $900 on the premier cruises so its like free money to gamble with too....plus if a cruise is free whats wrong even if I loose money the cruise was free!

My grandma is the same way. I lose every time unless I play blackjack.

I can hold steady for hours on roulette although I do prefer the slots and hopefully hear a lot of noise lol

Coevan- I been telling him the same thing hahaha!! But honestly, he has a very very high paying job and a high rank at a top company and the good thing is he retired at the age of 57 so its around the corner, then perhaps we have an additional income and go on more cruises. :D;p

But its funny you said this because everytime I say the same thing and laugh, but don't forget we do pay for the ultimate drink and dining package and tips so it does cost some money......

I play only the slots and earn 4000-6000 points on the cruises depending upon the length of the cruises. I receive bounce back offers after almost every cruise on Carnival and also on Holland America. We are retired and live in FL, so it is easy to be able to take the offers. My DH plays only table games and spends much more money than I do, but he never receives any offers even though he always gives the pit boss his S & S card. We are doing a bounce back cruise on Carnival in a few weeks and I told him to ask the casino host why he never receives offers.

Hi Coevan- Many times I stand behind him and watch, I see winning and he face times me when he gets the bonus and shows me the pot (meaning winnings)......not saying everyday he wins, of course he doesn't, but the final verdict is when he comes home its always with more money than what he went with and he never uses the ATM. :o
