Me too. A definite improvement! Now if they would just do something with that ugly theatre! LOL!

You've got me thinking about taking a cruise to Roaton! I think HMC is truly paradise, but adding the wildlife to the mix would be special.

great start - we were on the Glory September 30 - October 7 - we had the premium internet and it was so bad when I complained they refunded my money and let me have it for the week - which still stunk because it didn't work well at all.

I was going to buy the package so I could use groupme app on my phone to text with my daughters...and to check our son's homework assignments on the school website....Do you think I will problems too?

Enjoying yr review! Sailing Glory for the 3rd time on Nov 4th. Haven't sailed her since 2004, will seem like a new ship to me! I like Mr Sanchos too, looks like they have added palapas/tables right on the beach, good idea!

Luv the stingrays, I haven't set up any excursion on GC yet...

Do you have any menu pix?

TIA

Cindy

Thanks so much for your wonderful review. We will be on the Glory in January, and just received an email that our original Eastern itinerary should be in place for all the ports! Thanks also for the advice on watching children on a cruise- especially for new cruisers. Our now adult "kids" have been cruising in balcony cabins with us since they were 4/7, and have known the rules since day 1, and truthfully were really never out of our eyesight while on a cruise. As a teacher, I know how quickly kids can do things you would never think they would ever try - but they do. Looking forward to reading the conclusion of the review.

Thanks! Mr Sanchos has always had tables and palapas on the beach as long as I can remember and we’ve been there quite a few times.

I believe I have all the menus from the Hub App since I forgot to take them one night in the MDR and ate in the Steakhouse another. I’ll have to go through and make sure I have them in order.

Speaking of the casino, this was a Casino Premier cruise so it was pretty full every night. Some people had over 20,000 points on their accounts that I saw when sitting next to them or walking by. I think I ended up with around 350 ;p. They must live in that place! Anyway, I allotted myself $40 to play with and I came out $21 ahead for the week! I feel like a winner :D!

The Platinum gift was the Bluetooth speaker. I already had one from August so I gave it to my mom. It sounds really good and I am completely happy with mine. It was given on the first elegant evening just like all my other cruises. I know some people had said before that they got their gifts on other nights and it might be room steward or ship specific, but it's always been the same for me and also for one of my friends who is almost Diamond.

Did they have Camel filter 99's? look like THIS

We'll be on Glory in April for the first time. cant wait. were on Deck 9 Lido deck also, balcony room. Our first cruise was on Splendor and we were on Lido deck also towards the front in a balcony room. It was very quiet up there. Picked pretty much the same room this time on Glory hopping for a repeat quietness.

I think I may have saw Camels, but I can't be for sure. I wasn't looking that hard. Sorry :(.

I'll talk about debarkation and then finish up in a day or 2 with the FunTimes, the menus and whatever else pops into my brain at that time. I do all this by memory, so that's why I sometimes jump around and I find it much easier to do it live when the stupid internet works!

We were told to meet in the Golden (midship) dining room at 7AM for Platinum Self Assist. I went about 10 min to and the dining room was full so they had people lined up on the Port side going towards the glass elevators. They started letting people off almost immediately. I was down the escalator at 7:01AM. It took about 5 more min before I could go any further because Mom decided to take the elevator down with her medium sized suitcase. I travel with only a carry on and an under seat tote so I have no problems.

She turned the corner and we made our way to Customs. We were told to go into the first line which was also the Global Entry line. Well I don't know what the hold up was, but it was VERY slow! Anyway, we made it through, I summoned an Uber, and we were on our way to MIA within 3 min. Pulled up outside, dropped our bags with a Skycap, through TSA Precheck in no more than 5 min. The time was 7:54AM. If I didn't have to wait for the elevator, it would have cut at least 10 min off.

I know there are people that swear making early flights are the exception and not the norm, however, I can assure you it is the other way around. If you know where to be when and are prepared, early flights are 100% doable. The only hiccup being if there were a reason the ship pulled in late or there is an accident that you couldn't get around on the way to the airport. But again, THOSE are the exceptions, not the rules. I do not fret or worry my whole vacation or even get the slightest of butterflies in my stomach about it. I have done it lots of times and will continue to do so. If you personally don't feel comfortable with it, then don't. But by telling others they "will never make it" or "good luck" when they ask about a flight before noon, you are giving them bad info. Preparedness is key.

So since we had over 2 hours to burn, we decided to walk instead of taking the baby train all the way to the end of D Terminal. We were a little hungry and since there would be no Sea Day Brunch, we were left to fend for ourselves. I found an Irish Pub and it was fantastic! We both had the Whiskey Brown Sugar French Toast. SO delicious! I highly recommend this place.

FBW - I appreciate the information you provide in your reviews. I was wondering how do you review the pictures the ship's staff takes? Do you have to go to the Photo place or is there another easier way to review pictures? My prior experience was on the Fascination last December and it was a pain. TIA

They are on Deck 4 and you have to find yours on the wall. It is a pain, I agree. It’s much better on Vista where everything is digital. Hopefully they will bring that technology to all the ships.
