twotennesseans Posted October 22, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 22, 2017 We are cruising Dec. 10-20. We were just wondering if the ship will be decorated for Christmas. We have never sailed during this time before. Sent from my iPad using Forums
Rare geoherb Posted October 22, 2017 #2 Share Posted October 22, 2017 Yes. We've taken several cruises during this period and they've always been decorated. When we were on a Thanksgiving cruise, we saw them bringing on the decorations as we were getting off the ship. We'll be on the Royal this year. They'll also have decorations for Hanukkah since it falls within our cruise.

cougaraz Posted October 23, 2017 #4 Share Posted October 23, 2017 Absolutely! We sail on December 16th and this will be our fifth December cruise and we always love the Christmas decorations. We have actually been on a cruise for Christmas Day three times and it has been a ton of fun.
Lucky TGO Posted October 23, 2017 #5 Share Posted October 23, 2017 Yes it will be. Princess decorates the ship really nice. If you see Santa tell him Tony was asking for him:D. “I still believe”...:):) Tony

UT-Volsfan Posted October 23, 2017 #8 Share Posted October 23, 2017 They should bring a group on to decorate at the first or second port call after Thanksgiving. Takes about a day to decorate the ship. Then some passengers bring their own decorations. We usually having stockings on our cabin door. Rare Waynetor Posted October 23, 2017 #9 Share Posted October 23, 2017 The decorations are usually put up during the first turn around day in December. On the December cruises we did, I was disappointed in the lack of seasonal themed music. There is nothing religious in the decorations. I don't recall which ship, but I do remember crew members forming a choir for a show in the atrium. For those onboard on the 25th, Santa will drops by once he make the rest of his rounds

JimAOk1945 Posted October 23, 2017 #12 Share Posted October 23, 2017 We have taken several Christmas cruises and really enjoy them. On our Island Princess cruise, we joined other passengers and crew members and sang Christmas carols together. It was awesome since the Atrium amplified the voices and music! satxdiver Posted October 23, 2017 #13 Share Posted October 23, 2017 While we do not cruise near the Holiday time, we do like to cruise the week after Thanksgiving in the US. On every ship we have been on they start the decorating so that when we debark after a week cruise, the ship is all decorated. This includes RCCL, CCL and Princess.
