Formal nights on the Allure

I am cruising in April on the Allure. My husband and I are some the few people that actually enjoy getting dressed up for formal nights! That being said, I don't want him to drag his tux there if no one else is getting that dressed up! Has anyone been to a formal night recently that could give me an idea of how many people are getting really dressed up? Thanks!!

You will see the full range of attire. Some tuxes and some shorts. Wear what you want.

Like you we enjoy getting "gussied up" for formal nights. DH always takes his tux and I wear a long gown. We get dressed up for us and don't worry about what others are wearing. My advice....go for it. When you look spectacular you feel spectacular.

Thanks everyone! The last cruise we were on, I heard mutterings about getting rid of formal nights, but it seems as though they still exist, and haven't changed much! Thanks again!

Saw everything from shorts to tuxes this summer on "formal" nights. They did ask that you wear long pants in the Coastal Kitchen but don't know if anyone was enforcing the request. I used to wear a tux years ago, then went to a suit, and now just take a blazer, button down shirt, slacks and a tie. With that on I was probably on the dressier side. Take the tux if you enjoy wearing it and want to dress for a special night, but don't take it because you feel you have to.

Last month on Allure formal nights, we saw a guy dressed no collar T with shorts in the MDR. Someone posted an excellent message on this board that dress is to respect. I couldn't find the post. Would someone help.
