Hi! Going on the 5 day Eastern Caribbean on the Royal 11/25-30/17.

Looking for any info from anyone who has been on this as far as entertainment. Shows in Princess theater? How many nights did they have them, how many different ones? Also entertainment in different lounges at night. Piano bar? Lounge that has the games like The Voice and The Newlywed Game? Any thing different than what would be on the Emerald, Crown, or Sapphire?

Also, any info on the new additions on this ship. Sea Walk? Colorful waterfall show at night at top pool? How often they have this and how long it lasts?

Is the "adult pool" open above or does it have a dome?

Also, there are a lot of additional eating places for different things. There is a charge for gelato, right? How about the Chocolate bar? Alfredos pizza? International cafe? Still have the free soft serve cones by the pool?

Still have the Trident Grill by the pool with sandwiches?

Where can you have lunch besides the buffet on sea days or port days.

You get the idea. Any info would be appreciated to know what to expect ahead of time.

Thank you in advance!

Every night entertainment. No lobster on 5 day cruises. Entertainment varies by ship.

Also, any info on the new additions on this ship. Sea Walk? Colorful waterfall show at night at top pool? How often they have this and how long it lasts?

Is the "adult pool" open above or does it have a dome? No covered pool. Adult pool, yes.

Also, there are a lot of additional eating places for different things. There is a charge for gelato, right? How about the Chocolate bar? Alfredos pizza? International cafe? Still have the free soft serve cones by the pool?

Still have the Trident Grill by the pool with sandwiches? No chocolate bar. Yes, ice cream stand. Check deck plans. As far as free places to eat on embarkation day, MDR, Alfredo's, Trident Grill, International Cafe. Yes, there is a charge for gelato.

Where can you have lunch besides the buffet on sea days or port days.

See answers in bold above. Don't know about the rest, sorry.

Most of your questions today can be answered by either examining the deck plans

https://www.princess.com/deckPlans.do?shipCode=RP&version=1

...or the sections on dining from the Princess website:

https://www.princess.com/ships-and-experience/ships/rp-royal-princess/ (ship-specific to the Royal)

https://www.princess.com/downloads/pdf/food-and-dining/dining-options.pdf (fleetwide options, hours and pricing of dining venues)

I am following along as I am one the same cruise. First time for me on the new Royal-class as well. But you would be getting much more and better answers to your questions if you simply continued on one thread instead of starting four separate ones in a 24 hour spread.

Live entertainment in theater and/or Vista lounge each evening.

Live music in Wheelhouse Bar, Piazza.

Probably will be a deck party or maybe a Piazza party

Maybe there will be Voice. 1st practice day would be the last sea day, 2nd practice would then be late afternoon on the last day with performance in the evening.

Piano Bar is Crooner's and yes there will be an entertainer.

Newlywed Game and other similar cruise staff activities, probably will be some.

Also, any info on the new additions on this ship. Sea Walk? Colorful waterfall show at night at top pool? How often they have this and how long it lasts?

There may be a short water show at the main pool. Watch the patter for the time. There may also be a deck party.

Is the "adult pool" open above or does it have a dome?

Retreat Pool, not covered

Also, there are a lot of additional eating places for different things. There is a charge for gelato, right? How about the Chocolate bar? No, Alfredo's, pizza? Yes, with an expanded menu compared to the Sapphire International cafe? Yes Still have the free soft serve cones by the pool? Yes

Still have the Trident Grill by the pool Yes, with sandwiches? No- burgers, dogs, chicken, fries. Sandwiches are available in the Horizon Ct.

Where can you have lunch besides the buffet on sea days or port days.

Don't skip the buffet, it is the largest and best in the fleet. DR open on sea days closed for lunch on port days. All other no charge locations open for lunch and dinner every day

You get the idea. Any info would be appreciated to know what to expect ahead of time.

Thank you in advance!

The fountain pool and lights are supposed to be open at night with a scheduled one hour dancing light show, weather permitting.

It is a five day cruise. There is only so much that can be done on a five day cruise. Just take the cruise and enjoy what is offered. If they have the Yes or No Game show, try it. You will be interviewed on stage and for 3 minutes, you are not allowed to say YES, YEAH, Nod your head, and if you do you are done. A whole lot of fun. My husband wins every time!!!! A nice bottle of bubbly.
