Then sent me a check automatically when this happened to me a while back. Make sure you keep your address accurate on their web site.
RuthC Posted November 11, 2017 #3 Share Posted November 11, 2017 When the Future Cruise Deposit first started it was "Use it or lose it". But at some point later on the deposits became refundable if not used in four years.
sail7seas Posted November 11, 2017 #4 Share Posted November 11, 2017 When the Future Cruise Deposit first started it was "Use it or lose it". But at some point later on the deposits became refundable if not used in four years. When my DH passed, I never thought of the future cruise deosits he had on his account. With no communic a tion from or to me, HAL sent a check for the full amount. When I Got the check I WAS CONFUSED as I had not asked for it, indeed had not even thought of it. So, yes, if the deposits remain unused, the full amount is refunded.
john2003 Posted November 11, 2017 #5 Share Posted November 11, 2017 We have always used our HAL deposits. However we did have a Princess one which we thought we would still use. I phoned them and they extended it. In the end we still didn't use it but they mailed a cheque. Bentleg Posted November 11, 2017 #6 Share Posted November 11, 2017 The Hal deposit is refundable if you don't use it. I would expect the refund to go back to the credit card originally charged, but have never got into this position.
