createmem Posted November 16, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 16, 2017 Hi all - I am normally a Royal Caribbean cruiser, and going on the Carnival Liberty this winter for a family birthday. When I was looking at drink packages etc the other day, I wondered if those things ever go on sale. With Royal, I can normally catch a 20-30% off deal for those things. Does Carnival ever do that? Thanks! Tricia

Otherwise, to save $$, pre-purchasing both Cheers and internet services will provide a lower price than purchasing them on board.
bury me at sea Posted November 16, 2017 #3 Share Posted November 16, 2017 No sales that I have seen. It is cheaper to purchase it on line prior to the cruise than purchasing it on board the ship. Happy sailing.
StolidCruiser Posted November 16, 2017 #4 Share Posted November 16, 2017 Carnival doesn’t have to offer perpetual sales and discounts to sell its product like other lines with initially inflated prices. So no, you won’t see such sales here.
Can'tWait2SetSail Posted November 16, 2017 #5 Share Posted November 16, 2017 You can purchase gift cards at a 10% discount at sites such as AARP Rewards for Good and use those to purchase the drink package beforehand. This will give you a discount for pre-paying and a discount for the gift cards.

I’m sorry you don’t have enough positivity in your life that you have find a way to be negative to others. createmem Posted November 17, 2017 Author #7 Share Posted November 17, 2017 Thank you for the honest and positive feedback. Not sure if I’m buying packages or anything, but like to know what to watch for. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk My post was an honest assessment of how some lines market themselves. It wasn’t rude to anyone... personal or professional. I do appreciate your concern for my well-being but my happiness is spread farther than you can ever imagine in ways you cannot fathom.

createmem Posted November 17, 2017 Author #10 Share Posted November 17, 2017 (edited) Isn’t the special casino rate a sale or discount? It’s all in how you look at. I asked an honest question. Just wanted a simple, yes or no answer. Not an opinion of pricing structures on cruise lines. I needed to buy some refills of drugs in Belize is the only reason Im cruising again for the first time in 2 years. I simply got tired of a lot of things. I used to cruise up to 7 or 8 times a year and it just got to where I decided to stop. Im going to shop and Carnival was my only choice to Belize out of Galveston, so I paid the X2 solo price but I dont have to like it. Ill probably wait next time for a last minute deal. I have seen some since I booked. Im entitled to my opinion. sorry if my response doesnt please you,
