Hi, i was wondering if anyone can please answer this question. I am interested in doing a back to back in May, I am already booked on one leg of the trip. My question is this. I have not been able to get the same cabin on the first part of the trip, if I book another cabin which is only 5 doors down from the one i have already booked, do i have to pack and unpack all over again, or will the room steward help me do it, being that i am partially handicapped. It doesn't sound like much, but for me it is. Anyone with such info, please advice, i would like to reserve or not, depending. Thanks in advance.

When we did a B2B with a room for the second leg down the hall, we still had to pack all our stuff into luggage and bags.

We were told not to put it in the hall the night before and the room steward moved our luggage for us during the transition. But we still had to pack and unpack.

Your room steward will assist in physically moving your bags to your new cabin, but you will have to pack all of your belongings into the bags first. This is why many who book B2B's book VERY far in advance so they can secure the same cabin for both sailings, and not have to pack and unpack a second time.

Can you call Carnival or your TA(if you used one) to change boths legs to the same cabin.

THIS^^^

We were booked on the Sunshine in 2015...and our PVP sent us an email asking if we would move a couple of doors down so that somebody on a B2B could have our room for both legs.

Just wondering how’d you pack to go home if you weren’t doing a b2b?

Pack during the day before debark of the first cruise, then don’t unpack until later in the evening of first day of the second cruise.

Remember to empty out the first Cabin’s safe.

On our Back to Back last year we had to change rooms. I did pack up the drawer and shelf items but left the hanging items on the hangers at the room steward suggestion. Obviously I didn't pack things as carefully as if I was going to debark. Our belongings were moved while we processed off and back on.

Not the same. :) When I changed cabins for a B2B, I just threw everything into my suitcase in one giant mess. ;p Put all my shoes in a bag, all my toiletries/make up in a bag...I didn't worry about packing carefully to save space, etc. The room steward comes with a long dolly on wheels and they just load everything up. Then its easy to set up in the new cabin.

In fact, I got to experience this when I didn't even do a back to back - my cabin flooded and they had to move me to another room for just one night and then move me back. I literally just piled all my stuff on the dolly and sipped my glass of wine as I followed the steward to my new cabin. lol Although that was even more of a pain since I didn't really want to 'move in' for just one night.

We are doing a back to back this February. We do have the same cabin for both cruises. At the end of the first do we debark as usual, and then get back on?, or can we stay on How is it done?

You will get a letter outlining the procedure. The B2B folks gathering in a spot, are escorted off, thru Customs and can reboard.
