VOOM Question - tried searching to no avail

One wonders if you can use one of the devices as a hotspot and then log into that with your other devices at the same time. Of course you have to be within a few meters of the connected device for it to work but it should save the bother of having to log off one device and then log into another.

Yes, this has been discussed in a few threads -you just need a travel router capable of logging in to a web site. But, it only makes sense for the technically savvy who can't share.

Can you purchase internet access for 1 or 2 days? What is the cost of the lowest cost internet?

On the Anthem and Vision cruises we've done this year you could buy a continuous 24 hours surf only for one device period of internet for $20 at any time during the cruise.

In fact for our group of four, 2 D and 2 D+ members , shared our internet with three using their C&A internet credits for these 24 hours periods throughout the cruise and one D+ used their credit for a balance of the cruise surf only internet package at the end since its cost was $13 per day so we got 3 days from that D+ credit..

Do they sales on surf during the cruise? I think I saw somewhere that they usually run a special on the last full day?

Can you purchase a couple of days before the cruise, or do you have to purchase the whole week?

On the two cruises we've done this year there was a continuous 60 minutes period, one device only special on the last full day onboard for $12 to $15 for those basically who only wanted to check in and print boarding passes for flights. Printing requests had to be done from the ship's computer.

I've only seen all of the cruise internet packages offered prior to boarding. In fact for the two cruises we currently are booked on only the higher cost surf and stream internet packages option is available to us.

This is at a 20% discount but is still more costly than a surf only for the same number of devices options available onboard. :(

Online you can only buy the entire cruise package and only the Stream tier. Once on the ship, you have a few other options. A lower tier, Surf, single 24 hr package and remaining days package.

DS did it, but it only works within range of the router, which was about the size of the cabin.

You can't use your device as a hot spot unless you want to us the $$$$ cellular connection.

Most phones will not hotspot a wifi connection, only a cellular data connection.

We shared a single device package and was fine. It is not like we both wanted to be online all the time, or even most of the time. IT IS A CRUISE. IT IS A VACATION. :D
