First time on Norwegian - Can someone tell me what size luggage tags they have?

I ordered the plastic sleeves for Royal Caribbean and Carnival.

Royal Caribbean has thinner tags ... Carnival a little wider.

Can anyone give me insight on Norwegian's?

NCL's tags are wide, pretty close to Carnival.

You can print them yourself and with the correct folding no problem.

Yes, I always print them myself.

I just wasn't sure which tags to give to a friend who is sailing with us. My edocs aren't yet ready to print, so I couldn't see.....

It's our first NCL cruise. Usually go Royal

printed out directly they are 3 x 4 1/8. This is without any attempting to resize in any way

We take a few minutes to manually resize to fit our narrow luggage tag holder.

We always make ours up, laminate them, punch a hole and attach with a cable tie. Not that I'm paranoid about them coming off or anything...

The better option is to just hand your bags to a porter, have them tag your bags, verify the cabin number they wrote, and forget about the printing, taping, laminating, cutting, etc.

That's right, let the pro's do the job you pay them for.

We cruise a lot. Use the plastic tag sleeves with the metal loops. If you're never used them, they're awesome. We've just never cruised Norwegian and I didn't know what size.

I would never expect a Porter to do something that is my responsibility.

What? they didn't send you some in the mail? We are sailing on the Escape on 6 January and ours arrived a couple of weeks ago. Have you ever TRIED to remove one of those tags? pretty hard to do

I print a paper copy, fold it as directed, then use 1 strip of clear packing tape over the tag. I fold it through the handle, staple it together at home, and haven't had a tag come off in about 50 cruises, most with airline flights to port.

 

Keeping it simple works!

Yes, I like to keep it simple as well. I never have to take the tag holders off of my luggage. All I have to do is slip the paper inside. I've never had one come off.

Norwegian tags are wider than Royal’s.

If you use the plastic sleeves as I do, you will need a different size. I have a set for both lines.

On Amazon the website will tell you which tag size to buy.

I did. I bought the wider ones. In already had the ones for royal and love them.

Similar to a PP we cover ours with packing tape and staple them on. Though that was before I got the Cruise Critic luggage tag holders :)

 

Also be safe when I cruise I also put an 8-1/2 x 11 piece of paper in each checked bag with the following as an example:

 

SMITH

 

CABIN: 10567

 

CONFIRM: 5DF&HT

 

Cell: 555-555-1234

 

I do the same with any bag I check with the airline as well but include the flight routing and number
