Princess New England best time?

Was wondering which Canada/ New England cruise to book. We are especially interested in fall foliage and best ports. I see that Princess has about 10 options for the fall of 2018 and was wondering which might be preferred. Thanks for any advice.

We usually do the 2nd week October sailing R/T Brooklyn and enjoys the fall foliage. We also enjoy going around Saint John port.

We were on an Oct 4th (11 day) Cruise this year. The fall colours and weather was very good.

 

5 years ago, we were on a Sept. 30th (7 day) Cruise. Also good timing, and heard it snowed the following week in New England. So I think it very much depends on the weather.

Everyone says that generally speaking, the second week is the best for fall foliage. We went the first week and saw quite a lot of color change AND had super amazing weather.

Having lived in New England for decades, you’ll see foliage any time between mid-September and mid-October. The leaves start turning north and inland first with the foliage line moving southeast towards the coast and New York over the next few weeks. The coast is among the last where the trees change. Timing is up to Mother Nature and can vary by a week or two, depending on rainfall and temperatures. Impossible to predict more than a month or two in advance. For maximum foliage viewing, I’d book a cruise starting in Canada I late September to mid-October.

I would aim for mid October as mentioned but we have had nice experiences earlier and later in October.

When looking at my research - mid October but both times I have gone during that time, we have been somewhat early.
