Got off the Harmony this a.m. Here is my review.

We arrived at the ship early on the 16th. They had started boarding and there was no wait.

FOOD: we ate are wonderland, my DH was skeptical and was plotting a visit to the windjammer after. He didn't go, he said it was surprisingly good but he wouldn't go again. We had the eggs, the lobster, the crab and wonton soup. We shared the beef and the chicken. My husband had the chocolate dessert, he said it was delicious. We also ate at Chops, both Chops and Wonderland were part of out BOGO, I chose them both when we got on the ship. Chops was chops, it was good, nothing to wrote home about. I did have shrimp instead of a steak my husband said it was better than his steak. The tip at either restaurant was not included.

Sabor, we ate here, it was a total waste of money and they also charged an undisclosed 7.95 charge. The good was OK. I would go back for Salsa and guacamole and the Margaritas and sangria. We ordered the shrimp tacos and the chicken tacos. Also the Mexican street corn, it was disappointing. My husband had the churos and he said they were good.

Coastal kitchen.... We loved it, only went for dinner as we were in a Jr. Suite. I was disappointed because I went to restaurant first day on the ship, looked at menus and chose the day I wanted. No one told me until I asked why the menu was different that they switched days.

My husband loved sorrentos, he not picky and he's greedy so taken it for what's it worth.

I had the drink package and only received 3 receipts to add tips. I had about 60 transactions over the 7 days, that included water and sparking water. The drink card showed up on day 4 and stayed until the end of the cruise.

I tried every bar and my favorite was the Rising Tide, I loved their drinks and when it went up and down.

Windjammer wasn't too bad. There was an extremely rude hostess. I witnessed her treat two sets of families differently. It was almost lunch time and there was a line. A man and a child said, our family is in there waiting for us. She let them in. Another woman and her sister stepped up and said the same thing. They said we went to change our clothes for church.. She was rude and short with them and denied them entrance. I have my sneaky suspicions why she treated them differently but won't go there here. I tired to report her but couldn't get her name. Someone else must have because I didn't see her the rest of the cruise, I was looking.

Also, they eluded to the fact that they stopped the late night buffets due to waste. They claimed people took pics of them but most of it was wasted.

Our room was great, I won't go back to anything lower than a Jr suite. We felt like we were in our room stewards way. He was already to clean. We had to ask several times for lotion and extra soap. I asked for ice that I never received. He also gave us a "clean" glass that had a lipstick imprint on it.

I was not a fan of the solarium, not because of no swimming pool, it was hot as hell on there.

I was hard pressed to find a nice quiet spot to read other than my balcony which worked.

The galley tour was great, I have a desire to see the behind the scenes working of the the ships ans this gave me a glimpse.

The puzzle break was great too, it was only 8.95 a person.

SHOWS

Grease was not enjoyable. It was pretty like a high-school production to me

The aqua show was excellent.

The comedians were funny.

The love and marriage game and quest are not to be missed.

I didn't get off at any ports I have done everything I want to at all of the ports. We left late from st Thomas. I was watching for the runners from my balcony. There was a man and a woman that looked fishy, even from as far away as I was, something seemed up. Then the police showed up, the woman got back off. Her and one of the officers ran somewhere and then came back. No one I ran into talked about it. One lucky man came running in between that couple arriving and the police coming.

People need to learn elevator etiquette, when the elevator stops it is common courtesy to wait to see if any one is getting off before you try to get on.

I begrudgingly went to the meet and mingle. I say begrudgingly because it was at 9:45am on the 2md day. It was not anywhere near the 100 people that registered. I have concluded that it's too early in the am. They gave gifts, a back pack, a cap, several bottles of wine, a bottle of champagne, dinner at Jamie's and an in room movie, a bingo package.

Also, saying excuse me, thank you and I'm sorry won't hurt you at all. One woman was sitting on her husband's lap at the aqua show, because there were no more seats. The person behind her said, I can't see. Well the people he was with said it, he was nonconfrontational. The woman and the man both acted like they couldn't hear then repeated it 3 times. The woman then said why? I was like wow, is she serious. They reported her, she moved before any one came.

I truly enjoyed this cruise, I will enjoy any and every cruise as long as the ship functions and there is food and drinks. However, I feel like the harmony is entirely too big. Our next cruise is booked, the anthem Thanksgiving 2018.

Any questions, I will do my best to answer.

Appreciate the feedback. Sorry to hear the Solarium is still very hot. I had hoped the difference in design would have allowed it to be cooler.

There were some spots during the day that had a nice breeze but it was few and far between, didn't last longer than a min or two and defiantly not everyday.

I found the solarium on Harmony perfectly temperate, generally speaking. We spent a ton of time there. A few hot spots in the lower corners with no wind but otherwise it was great. I though it felt cooler than on Oasis, however, I sailed Oasis in July and Harmony in October so who knows.

The difference in design may make it cooler on Harmony, though you can't see out anymore from the upper levels and the plexi panels are often broken and loudly flapping in the wind.

Good and bad news I guess. I had read about the new panels not being as sturdy.

Harmony solarium was a total screw up by Royal. It's why we chose Allure next year instead.

Someone reported a Captain's talk indicating the Solarium would be addressed on Symphony. We will see what that means.
