I don't even see the 10-day cruise on the Feb. 28. Princess's website is only showing me the 20-day cruise. Perhaps they're working on catching up with new bookings. I tried a few large travel websites and did see it but not at a great price even with my Captains Circle number. I did see a great price on the Crown's 5-day cruise on Feb. 18 after signing in--$109 for an inside/$179 for a balcony plus $95 per person in taxes and fees.

The great prices for the 10 day ones and the one 7 day appears to have been sold out at that great rate. I could find them earlier during the day after the OP started this thread. Now the only one that I see is that Crown 5 day and one over on the West Coast.

The Elite penalty. Argh. That's what I'm thinking. Either that or you only get it if you don't have something already booked with them. We never get them but go to the casino regularly on every cruise. We don't spend a lot but more than some of the people that have gotten these so that leads me to believe maybe they didn't have another cruise already booked with Princess. :loudcry:

We are not Elite, our first Princess cruise was the Regal dec.10th.

We also did not have anything else booked but did have future cruise deposits that we bought while on that cruise.

Congratulations! Neither my husband nor I got that offer but he got the terrific offer for the Regal for December 10th that we jumped on. I gamble enough to qualify for the VIP sailings and cash back on next cruise offers but didn't get that one. He plays on PokerPro and they don't make enough on him to usually give him offers. We are both Elite and have two future cruises booked on Princess, but we had those same cruises booked when they sent him the offer that we took advantage of earlier this month. It's anyone's guess how they determine who to send these offers to but I'm happy when they do arrive!

We were on the Dec.10th sailing and DH and I both played poker pro some but didn't spend what we would consider a lot. What is your husbands first name, probably met him at the table? [emoji3]

I found the email and followed the link for the 10-day cruises. The prices were gone. But fortunately, I was able to get us booked at a great price on the Regal for a 7-day cruise (Feb. 18). It's nice because we've never sailed on the Regal before--and I did not have to bring DH totally back to earth with an inside cabin because a balcony was such a great price. My travel agent at the big box store couldn't believe it. He mentioned that it's cheaper to cruise than to stay at home. Not quite. We got a little bit of onboard credit for booking through the big box store, plus the OBC for our FCDs and my shareholder credit. Those combined will cover our gratuities and have a little bit left over for a few drinks.

You will love the Regal, it's a beautiful ship.

What a seriously small world!! We met him, a really nice guy, and got some of his cards, I even brought them home to show my daughter. Tell him Denny and Paula say hello (I'm the one that grew up in Keansburg). He'll remember.

Yes! He remembers both of you! He says hello back and also said to tell you that he's still heartbroken that Dixie Lee closed.

Anyone that ever went to Dixie Lee in their 50+ years is also heartbroken!

To make a long story longer....I get emails all the time, and most likely delete them immediately, but something caught my eye...10 nights, OK....look further, says sign in for your special pricing. I do, in the meantime, there is a "travel Planner" number on it, and email, I email, as I am trying to find out whats going on, this Travel Planner is calling me and tells me the price...I jumped on it. OH the funny thing is that I didn't even ask what ship or where it went 10 nights....who cares

I didn’t even read that email and threw it away. Just pulled it back out. Wow, we finally got the cheaper fares. I can do a 5 day for $99 per.

Thank you!!

Thanks for the heads up.

I had to go dumpster diving to find the email. Called my TA and told her that I received a Princess Insiders email offer for a 5 day at $65 per. Deck 11 Inside stateroom. I can’t afford to pass it up. :)

Interesting. I am Platinum, have signed up to get emails on at least a quarterly basis. The only emails I ever get are Princess surveys asking for my opinion on something. What gives?

I am Platinum too!

Actually it is a Players Club promotion --- the players club is a separate entity, more of a partnership

I took the Feb 28 offer, I cancelled my June 1 and transferred the FCC to this one, I booked a gty balcony and was immediately assigned Rivera Deck mid aft....Cat BB....out of pocket $800 for both WITH insurance

Congratulations! Very good deal. Was this the Royal? If so, some folks might have cancelled due to the postponement of Ocean Medallion or perhaps were concerned about the condition of the Caribbean ports following the hurricanes, but St. Thomas was the only one really impacted. It is interesting that Princess is going the casino / Player's Club route to fill ships. Makes sense if they think they can get more money from those who have gambled in the past. We happily jumped on the offer we got last fall so I do hope that these semi-last minute super deals continue.

What a great deal.

Yes, Royal. I sailed the Royal back in 2014 I believe....I can't believe 6 ports... but Antigua again....every time we sail....Antigua....we just get off the ship, side step the tour lions, and get a drink at that bar across from DI and maybe drop a couple of bucks in the casino to cool off and then head back to the ship for the rest of the day.

I don't see so many people cancelling just because of the *****. There had to be something else. BUT, I'm not gonna bash my good fortune as the "lottery" fairy has sprinkled her fairy dust upon us.
