I have always just done a dummy booking on the Carnival site.

I don't think the fare viewer or other apps are as accurate as using the site directly.

Absolutely correct, but think apps give me reminders to check. Just yesterday did a re-booking on Paradise Oct 18, went from $25 OBC to $50 OBC, not much but better.

A small shortcut in doing a dummy booking is to save a bookmark in your browser for the specific itinerary you're tracking. It doesn't save you from inputting all the usual info (number pax, number of cabins, category, etc.) but it does save you searching for the specific itinerary you want.
