  1. We are heading to Baltimore shortly to board the Legend tomorrow as well. I can't wait to see the photos.
  2. I don't know about at the port but Park Port Canaveral on Thurm Blvd. offers a shuttle and definitely takes vans and RV's.
  3. I was hoping for the Legend to have it before my September cruise.
  4. It is unfortunate they aren't taking the effort to add another specialty dining restaurant. I guess we can hope the spa changes add a T pool.
  5. When we went to Chichén Itzá, we had a choice of cruise excursion or make separate trip of it. We decided to fly to Cancun and stay at an Xcaret resort with their excursion. I wouldn't want to be so rushed on the time allowed on site with a shore excursion. It takes a while to take it all in.
  6. If they decide to cut the Pride in half and add more length, it could only be an 85 foot section if they still want to use the old locks of the Panama canal.
  7. I had better luck connecting to the ship WIFI with my phone and usb tethering to my laptop to take meetings. It seemed more reliable than connecting my laptop. It may be that they have different firewall/throttling in place for certain types of devices.
  8. We have been on the Pride many times and always thought it could use another dining option in the Raphael Lounge area on deck 3. I would assume it would be Cucina and maybe replace the Red Frog pub with Pig and Anchor Brewhouse.
  9. We were on the Pride on the repo from Baltimore to Tampa and really enjoyed the cruise. It does seem that there was a series of unfortunate events on this one.
  10. Jamie's should be open for embarkation lunch. At least usually it is.
  11. If you are only using the devices say in cabin to work, get a travel router that can connect to the ship wifi and broadcast it's own wifi network. Connect the 4 devices to the routers wifi network and all 4 will share the single internet connection.
  12. They had the same on RCL's Anthem on my last cruise and my wife liked the addition for help shaving her legs. I also used it to help stabilize myself while washing my feet.
  13. We booked a cabin for the Carnival Legend 9/2/23 Greenland cruise the day it came out. Balcony was around $5300 total for cabin and taxes for 2 people.
  14. My wife and I both have jobs that can work from anywhere and our last transatlantic we worked on the sea days. This was NCL and the internet wasn't that great and it was difficult to take live meetings due to bandwidth/latency. We do this to be able to take more/longer vacations and extend our travels. I think RCL should offer a digital nomad level for people that would like to work during a cruise that is slightly more than the normal VOOM + Stream that would guarantee a minimum bandwidth per device and nothing blocked such as VPN, Zoom, Teams, Slack and various other work related apps/websites. We would gladly pay $30-$40 / day / device for this type of service.
  15. Did someone mention that there would be new cruises listed today?
  16. I don't see the TA on the site yet for the Oasis. I wonder what the itinerary is.
  17. Any idea if the Anthem has Starlink yet or when it may be installed? We are on in late January and both need to work a little bit during sea days.
  18. I would have guessed that it was an algorithm that evaluates the maximum amount of money for NCL based on all submitted bids and rearranging cabins to determine the best combination. So even though someone didn't have the highest bid, they may still win when the combination of all cabins/upgrades is the maximum amount of money for NCL.
  19. We were told we had to use our FCC from our POA cancellation on a single cruise fare only. The most expensive non-haven was the spa balcony at the time. Haven options were way more than our FCC so we decided to just go the spa balcony route instead. If we were actually paying for it, we would have done a regular balcony and spa pass as well.
  20. We were going to pick up the spa pass for this sailing as well but decided to use our FCC on a spa balcony so that it was included.
  21. Does anyone know how long it takes for NCL to apply the FCC to our accounts? We were cancelled for our 9/10 sailing on 8/8 and states that the FCC would be available on 8/9 but it still hasn't shown up. We would like to schedule a replacement cruise shortly but even customer service says it isn't listed on my account.
  22. We also got cancelled for the 9/10. It would have been our first cruise and now we are looking at other NCL options to use the FCC by the end of this year to use up vacation days.
  23. Start early in the morning, pace yourself and get Propels, specialty coffees, milkshakes and all the other drinks that are available as well with Cheers.
  24. My wife drinks Grey Goose and club soda while onboard Carnival.
