Best way to get from Ft Lauderdale Cruise Port to Miami International Airport

Hello

 

Will be taking a cruise out of FLL cruise port in Feb, but we have afternoon flights out of Miami after the cruise. We will be wanting to leave straight from the port to Miami airport, and looking for ideas on transportation. Uber/Lyft is where i am leaning but looking for info on how long one would typically wait for an uber (its just 2 of us) and it seems base on uber it would be between $35-50.

 

Anything i should be concerned about or suggestions or alternatives that are cost effective. Is Uber/Lyft reliable at the port.

A quick read down the board would find many recommendations for Uber/Lyft. How long you will have to wait varies, but it sounds like you have time. Nobody has mentioned waits are long.

 

Shuttles are also commonly recommended here, although not all can go to MIA. Just a little research will find the ones that do.

 

But the "best" would probably be in a helicopter, or a limo sipping champagne.

Uber/Lyft should be easily available and the fare will be about $35-40; a taxi on the same route will be closer to $75. Most of the popular FLL shuttles do not go to MIA - Go Airport and Super Shuttle are two to check but I bet you wind up back at the Uber option.

I too would go with Uber/Lyft.

 

If you want something booked in advanced as mentioned Larry's Limo is a good option.

 

The drive will take about 45 minutes but precise time will vary based on time of day/traffic conditions.

Last time we used Uber and we were pleased. Five minutes after making call they were there to pick us up. :)
