toothfary7 Posted January 19, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 19, 2018 Is there any differences in what I will experience as far as views if I take the train up as opposed to back down? Thanks in advance for any opinions!

cvpends Posted January 20, 2018 #3 Share Posted January 20, 2018 Either way is fun, but I especially love the sweeping views coming down from the Yukon. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
SuperCrewBear Posted January 20, 2018 #4 Share Posted January 20, 2018 From my understanding (from a local Skagway resident) in the morning (taking the train up) there is a likelihood of fog and not seeing as much as you'd like. By the afternoon it typically burns off so the return trip should be clear. In the morning a highway ride over the mountains will get you out of the fog rather quickly. cruiseguy1016 Posted January 20, 2018 #5 Share Posted January 20, 2018 Have you considered renting a car and taking the trip on your own? It is a lot less expensive than paying for the train/bus. Driving a car also allows you to stop where you want, when you want and for how long you want. There's basically only one road so it's very hard to get lost.
