Cruisin'Kim Posted January 20, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 20, 2018 Good morning on our last full day on the Oasis! I’ve been on these boards for years, but have never ventured to write any kind of a review, so after reading plenty of other reviews I’m going to take a stab at it, bear with me..... We arrived in Port Canaveral 2 days early as the guys wanted to tour Kennedy Space Centre. We usually cruise in a fairly big group, but this cruise was with one other couple that are good friends of ours, it was going to be more of a relaxing cruise then the big party it usually is! Hubby and I on the plane heading to the warmth. (I forgot to mention that we’re from Canada, and it’s pretty cold there right now). Cruisin'Kim Posted January 22, 2018 Author #11 Share Posted January 22, 2018 O.k., going to try to continue, please let me know what I’m doing wrong if this doesn’t show properly.... We went straight to Grills from KSC to watch the Saturday ships leave port in anticipation of the next day! I ordered the fish of the day which was tilapia, everything was great! We had our dinner, listened to the live music for a bit, and then headed back to our hotel Sent from my iPad using Forums

Cruisin'Kim Posted January 22, 2018 Author #13 Share Posted January 22, 2018 We stayed at Homewood suites, it was a wonderful hotel! We had a studio suite and so did our friends. Sorry, I only thought to take some photos the morning we were leaving, so it’s a bit of a mess.... Sent from my iPad using Forums

Cruisin'Kim Posted January 22, 2018 Author #16 Share Posted January 22, 2018 Check in was a breeze, we took the 10:30 shuttle from the hotel, and walked right up to the counter - now it’s time to sit and wait to be called. We’re platinum members and our friends are Gold, so we somehow managed to contain ourselves and wait with them until they called Gold Then we were on Lady O!!! First priority.... Cruisin'Kim Posted January 22, 2018 Author #17 Share Posted January 22, 2018 There was a group on the cruise celebrating Elvis’ birthday, and there were several Elvis I personators on board, they were all great guys. Cruisin'Kim Posted January 22, 2018 Author #19 Share Posted January 22, 2018 Then it was time for sail away! It was a little chilly out, so we watched from our balconies. They will still open the dividers between balconies on Oasis. We just asked to have it removed between our 2 balconies and our wonderful, excellent, took care of our every need room Stewart Abdul got the key right away to open it! Cruisin'Kim Posted January 22, 2018 Author #20 Share Posted January 22, 2018 It was casual for dinner that night, I had the Calamari for the appetizer, and prime rib for the main course. I had creme brûlée for dessert, but forgot to take the pic. I can verify that it was delicious though! It was so good, I think I may have had it twice more.... My DH had the steak For future reference, my foodie pics really are hit or miss, I tried to remember to take a picture of everything, but you get pretty excited when the food is put down in front of you......[emoji6] Sent from my iPad using Forums

Cruisin'Kim Posted January 22, 2018 Author #22 Share Posted January 22, 2018 We watched Cats the first night, I enjoyed it, others in my party may not have though - we were one of the “left at intermission” people. I thought the costumes and the singing was wonderful! While I’m talking about Cats I thought I would include 2 pics of the amazing stage set up that I took Day 6 while we were exploring the ship. While I’m talking about the entertainment I should let everyone know that although I had something booked every night, we actually got around to attending very little, so I won’t be much help there. We did try to see Oasis of Dreams though, our first one was cancelled and rescheduled to Day 6, then that one was cancelled as well [emoji19]. It was for the safety of the performers, the sailing was a little rough, we would have hated to see anyone get hurt. Speaking of getting hurt, we had 2 separate Bravo, Bravo, Bravo codes, (medical emergency) and there were 3 ambulances that took people off the ship when we docked back in Port Canaveral. Cruisin'Kim Posted January 22, 2018 Author #24 Share Posted January 22, 2018 Good morning, it’s Monday! Here are a couple of pics of our stateroom (#9596). It was a balcony stateroom on the hump. Our balcony was HUGE! We pulled 2 chairs over from our friends balcony several times, and all 4 of us sat comfortably around our table. (Sorry, I never think to take the pics before we start making a mess...) It was also excellent for sitting and chillaxing!
