Sam.Seattle Posted January 25, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 25, 2018 Celebrity ships lack the large projection screens pool side which I appreciate. So, where can you watch the Olympics and cheer on your country? Other thoughts?...

CruisinCanine Posted January 25, 2018 #6 Share Posted January 25, 2018 Am hoping to get some coverage on board the Solstice in a few weeks. Team Canada has a sizable group going and would watch some stuff as I think we might be in a favorable time zone for live coverage.

Even if there is coverage of the Olympics on board, don't count on seeing much of Team Canada unless they are going head-to-head against the US. bigbeergut Posted January 25, 2018 #8 Share Posted January 25, 2018 You may need to get the internet package and watch it on your computer. Comcast with likely let its customers stream the Olympics, does Canadian tv livestream the games?

Are you assuming that all of the Celebrity ships will use the NBC coverage, rather than an international feed? My God, I hope not.

Comcast with likely let its customers stream the Olympics, does Canadian tv livestream the games? CBC and the CBC app will have extensive coverage: The 2018 Winter Olympics will be broadcast on CBC as well as on the CBC app. CBC will provide live coverage from every venue as well as coverage of every “medal-winning moment,” according to its website.CBC will also broadcast Olympic Games Primetime every night from 7 p.m.- 2 a.m. ET, Olympic Games Morning from 6 a.m.-12 p.m. ET and Olympic Games Overnight from 2-6 a.m. ET. So if the ship TV coverage sucks (American feed), then an Internet package will be a must.
Rare keesar Posted January 25, 2018 #11 Share Posted January 25, 2018 Are you assuming that all of the Celebrity ships will use the NBC coverage, rather than an international feed? My God, I hope not. Last time, the coverage on the ship was an international feed. It was available in your stateroom and in the casino bar. No NBC coverage. Fouremco Posted January 25, 2018 #12 Share Posted January 25, 2018 Are you assuming that all of the Celebrity ships will use the NBC coverage, rather than an international feed? My God, I hope not. International feed hasn't been particularly generous in providing Canadian content in the past; streaming CBC is definitely the best approach if you don't mind paying for the wifi. Fortunately, we don't embark until mid March, so it isn't an issue for me. :)
