Dining option/ shows

hello! First time cruiser on celebrity silhouette. We have not been on a cruise in 15 years! When we did cruise we always chose late seating dining so we weren’t rushed out of the sun or daytrips and enjoyed the second seating shows. I have requested the 8:30 seating but I am concerned that we will miss the shows. Should we switch to early seating? I have read that the shows are 7 & 9. Is 9 the late showing? We were used to a 10:30/11 show on Royal Caribbean.

Yes 9 is the late show, normally those on late dinner that want to see the show go at 7

As mentioned above, if the shows are 7 & 9, the 7 show is typically intended for late dining seating and the 9 is for the early. BTW, RCI's vary by ship and venue but are in a similar cadence to time with the fixed dinner seatings.

We always have the late dinner seating for the very reasons mentioned by the OP. In our experience, attending the 7PM show left plenty of time to make the 8:30 dinner seating. Enjoy!

Although the primary theater shows are at 7 and 9 PM as stated there are also some secondary later shows in addition. These are at 10:30 but are usually things like Liars Club, Not-So Newlywed Game, or a second performance by a comedian (an additional show, not a repeat, with more adult content).
