So we took the excursion that wen to Hell and Calico Jacks / Seven Mile Beach and let me tell you Hell was a waste of time. It's a tiny gift shop and you just stand around, there's some cool volcanic ash stuff to see but if you're looking to actually do something and have some fun I recommend skipping Hell and going straight to Calico Jacks / Seven Mile Beach as it's pretty fun

I had been to Grand Cayman a few times before, so I decided to take the local bus up to Hell out of curiosity. It was, indeed just a small wooden dock looking out over some rocks. There are 3 small gift shops, and a post office where you can send a post card from Hell. On the bright side, the restrooms in Hell were very clean...

Hell is a nice place to stop by and visit when touring the island. It really is not a place to go, just to stop for a bit.

I recommend visiting Hell for those that have been to the island a couple of times, or for those who want to rent a car and see more of the inland things the island has to offer.

But I will agree, it is a short stop and rather boring except from a geological standpoint.

I think that if you get a kick out of sending your friends/family/enemies a postcard from Hell (possibly saying "Wish you were here!") or want to buy Hell shot glasses and the like, then it's worth a short trip. Otherwise I would be spending my time on the beach, or in a submarine, or diving. :-)
