Traveling Library Posted February 16, 2018 #2 Share Posted February 16, 2018 What could we do in santa Barbara for the day? The downtown is very nice, small and "cute". Visit the town hall to see the murals. Visit the mission church and grounds.
dogtaur Posted February 17, 2018 #3 Share Posted February 17, 2018 Downtown shopping and restaurants. There's a nice zoo. The pier has restaurants and a small marine museum. The mission. Rent bicycles and ride along the beach. There is a little water taxi that runs between the marina/harbor and the pier.

Rare Keith1010 Posted February 24, 2018 #14 Share Posted February 24, 2018 There is a nice area by the tender drop off (about a five minute walk) and you can get there by walking along the beach. There are parks in the city. You can rent bikes too. Keith

brunello22 Posted February 27, 2018 #17 Share Posted February 27, 2018 All great suggestions above! There are a number of places to rent eBikes (electric bikes); they are great for going up those hills! Some good restaurants to consider: Milk & Honey (tapas) Los Agaves (Mexican) There are some local breweries as well as the Urban Wine Trail near the downtown area. SadieN Posted February 28, 2018 #19 Share Posted February 28, 2018 Check out the Mission Santa Barbara. Juana Maria is buried here. Scott O’Dell wrote her story in Island of the Blue Dolphins. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
suec12 Posted February 28, 2018 #20 Share Posted February 28, 2018 You might want to google red tile walking tour - a pod cast narrated by "J Peterman". Also the courthouse has lovely tiles, murals and a clock tower to look out over the city.
