lynnek Posted February 20, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 20, 2018 Just wondering if anyone has ever got the coach transfer to the Souhtmapton port from anywhere north, preferable Lancaster. I was wondering what time approximately it leaves Lancaster and also returned there.

janny444 Posted February 20, 2018 #4 Share Posted February 20, 2018 Hi....P&O don't use Eavesway they use Intercruises ( Cruise Connect). We are picked up at Preston at 7:45 and arrived back at Preston at 16:00 approx but we had had a slight delay in leaving Southampton.

wowzz Posted February 20, 2018 #6 Share Posted February 20, 2018 Can I ask if you know roughly the time for the journey?Google Maps say 4 hours 30 minutes, but you have to schedule in traffic jams, other stops etc, so I would say 6 hours. Enjoyacruise Posted February 21, 2018 #7 Share Posted February 21, 2018 Hello we got the Intercruise coach (an Ellisons one) down from Lancaster to the Oriana on 30th January. We were booked to be picked up at the Holiday Inn at 7.15 am> however, a lady from Intercruise/Ellisons telephoned to say they had a 30 minute delay and to wait in the hotel. The coach had started at 2.00am at Edinburgh then picked up at Glasgow and Carlisle. We were the final pick up. A separate coach did Blackpool and Preston. We were due to arrive at Southampton at 2.15pm (the coaches are given an arrival time so they don't all get there together). In actual fact we got there at 2.30pm. We had two stops Lymm and Warwick service stations with a new driver at Lymm. Our coach filled up quickly on the way back and we left Southampton about 9.00am and arrived at Lancaster at 4.00pm. That time had been arranged so another driver could take over for the final leg up to Glasgow. All very efficiently done
Enjoyacruise Posted February 21, 2018 #8 Share Posted February 21, 2018 Oh I should have said that our cruise was the "free" one included by P&O. We have also used Eavesway and their timings are very similar. They used to go from Forton Service station but now also go from the Holiday Inn. jocap Posted February 21, 2018 #9 Share Posted February 21, 2018 We went with Eavesway from Lancaster, and as it was snowing, we were asked to be outside at 5.30am... We were promised twice by the firm that we would return at 5pm, and had a taxi coming from West Cumbria for that time. In fact, we arrived at just after 3pm. I should say that it's about 6 hours, including a lunch break.
