golfb4cruzing Posted February 22, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 22, 2018 my humble apologies but new phone, can’t find anything. Cruising Regal, 7 days starting April 8th. When will formal night occur. Is the first one on first sea Day ? Could I know which days, I think the couple we are cruising with wants to book the restaurants. suekel Posted February 22, 2018 #2 Share Posted February 22, 2018 Usually it will be the first sea day
jennybenny Posted February 22, 2018 #3 Share Posted February 22, 2018 Agree that it is usually the first sea day on a 7 day cruise. However you never really know until you get on the ship and see the first day's patter that will inform you of all the formal nights.
derdejoh Posted February 22, 2018 #4 Share Posted February 22, 2018 If you're willing to wait until you are on board, the restaurants will be able to tell you which nights are formal. But I would guess first sea day and then probably Grand Cayman (I don't think they usually do a formal night on the night before disembarkation and you're in port in Cozumel until 10 pm, so likely not that night either). Clownfish Cruiser Posted February 22, 2018 #5 Share Posted February 22, 2018 Thank you! I would like to know this also. It is just one formal night for a 7-day cruise? Sorry, I can't remember. Our last was an 8-day cruise and we had 2 formal nights. I don't want to cram unnecessary formal wear into my suitcase!
OCruisers Posted February 22, 2018 #6 Share Posted February 22, 2018 On Princess there are two formal nights on seven day cruises ;)
paul929207 Posted February 22, 2018 #7 Share Posted February 22, 2018 There are two formal nights. The first night and last night will NOT be formal. If nights 2 thru 6 include 2 sea days, they will likely be formal. If there is only on sea day, then the second formal will be a day you leave port early. If you post your itinerary, including departure times, we can give a better guess
golfb4cruzing Posted February 22, 2018 Author #8 Share Posted February 22, 2018 Thanks to all. Derdejoh, I think you’re right on first sea Day and GC cause of 10pm departure in Coz. Optotronics Posted February 22, 2018 #9 Share Posted February 22, 2018 Thanks to all. Derdejoh, I think you’re right on first sea Day and GC cause of 10pm departure in Coz. Our friends are trying to schedule the Ultimate Balcony around formal. The trip is FLL Princess Cay Sea Day Jamaica Grand Cayman Cozumel Sea Day FLL We had almost this exact same cruise on the regal a little over a year ago. 1st formal night was the princess cays day and 2nd night was grand cayman. Neither was on a sea day. You will be able to find out when on board. They will let you change your UBD night once onboard.
