Does anyone have any new information about the Star's upcoming drydock? I'm starting to get very excited about our January Panama Canal cruise (I know...still 10 months away, but I can't help it!). :D

We just booked her for the canal in November. I didn’t know there was a dry dock coming up. Do you know when it’s scheduled?

I remember people discussing it on here last year. When I checked out her schedule, she arrives in Barcelona on May 6 and doesn't leave again until May 24. I'm assuming that's it! :)

Really hoping for a dry dock, hearing that the ship needs some interior repairs and I'm also hoping that they renovate the spa and install heated loungers!

That's exactly what I'm hoping for! Sounds like the theatre chairs definitely need some work, and we're thinking about getting spa passes for the first time, so heated loungers would be fabulous! :D

My first thought is it wouldn't have a lot done as it had a lot done in the last drydock as part of the fleet improvement program. But if it is 18 days, that is a long drydock compared to some of the others so who knows.

Just off the Star on Friday. Cabin steward said the dry dock was scheduled for Marseille France. The plan was for a complete overhaul of the back of the ship where the small kids section is, plus all rooms getting new beds and Tv's. All crew would be staying on board to help strip the rooms etc.

On cruisedeckplans.it now says "next dry dock May 6 to May 23" sure hope they get rid of the ugly plush velveteen sofas and chairs and changes the decor to match the Dawn's!

Thanks for letting us know!

Now I'm excited, sailing on her this October and heard she was getting pretty rough looking, lots of complaints about the theatre and dining room chairs...
