caryatid Posted March 13, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 13, 2018 This will be my kids first cruise on Carnival and I was wondering if I could sign them up for VIFP numbers? They are 5 and 8 so they don't have their own phone numbers or emails but if possible I'd like to get them enrolled so they could start getting credit for their cruises! With two booked and a third one on the horizon, they might hit gold before they even get a drivers licence!

HawkIVette Posted March 13, 2018 #3 Share Posted March 13, 2018 I believe they are automatically given VIFP numbers with their first sailing. At least that was the way with my kids when they sailed many years ago. My 2 youngest were Gold before they got their licenses.

sun&sea Posted March 13, 2018 #5 Share Posted March 13, 2018 That is odd. My granddaughter sailed in 2015, and is scheduled to sail again soon. I booked thru a Carnival vacation planner. Her status shows nothing. Maybe I should call someone? Janet
cruisela2012 Posted March 13, 2018 #6 Share Posted March 13, 2018 My 10 and 13 yo are both gold and well on their way to platinum before they can drive or at least before the 10 yo can drive

IPlayWithString Posted March 13, 2018 #9 Share Posted March 13, 2018 Absolutely. Sent from my iPhone using Forums Agreed. Our son has had a VIFP # since his first sailing when he was 9. He'll probably be platinum before he graduates high school. :D
You Me & the Sea Posted March 13, 2018 #10 Share Posted March 13, 2018 Absolutely! mdsgu Posted March 13, 2018 #11 Share Posted March 13, 2018 My kids are both Gold (ages 7 and 8). They plan to be Platinum by the time their senior trips roll around.
NavarreCruiser Posted March 13, 2018 #12 Share Posted March 13, 2018 I have 2 daughters who both like to cruise. Older daughter does Carnival and is Platinum. Her children aged 19 and 21 don't always cruise with her and I think they are probably both gold. Younger daughter cruises almost always on Royal Caribbean and her 11-year-old and 14-year-old are Diamond plus (175 days/points) on their own cruising history. Rare PrincessArlena'sDad Posted March 13, 2018 #13 Share Posted March 13, 2018 They will get a number on their Sail and sign card. But, I think you can not sign a kid up for a number prior to sailing Sent from my SM-G930P using Forums mobile app
csj092809 Posted March 13, 2018 #14 Share Posted March 13, 2018 If you go to Carnival's website and go to your account, you can click the tab for travel companions and everyone you have ever booked a cabin with should show up and have VIFP #s. My 8 year old will soon be Gold, as well. He has a number attached to his name on the website :)
Doggielover68 Posted March 13, 2018 #15 Share Posted March 13, 2018 Everyone gets a VIFP number assigned when they receive their first sail and sign card ( if they don't already have one ). No extra steps are needed Sent from my iPad using Forums
