messej01 Posted March 14, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 14, 2018 We are booked in a concierge cabin on Mar 19. We paid about $3.5k per person. Concierge is now showing is about $5.9k. We wanted to go Aqua Class but there were no cabins at time of booking. Now the cabins are available but they are $7k pp I enquired with my travel agent and for us to upgrade would be 7k. I thought we would pay the difference between the two cabins. Is this normal? Sent from my iPad using Forums

You paid $3.5Kpp, which is $3.5K x 2 = $7k. if the new cabin is $7k pp, then there is a difference of $7K.
Rare gogo65 Posted March 14, 2018 #3 Share Posted March 14, 2018 Assume you’re talking about celebrity? If so, you need to wait till the price comes down to close to what you paid, normally after final payment, then you should be able to upgrade for the difference which will be reasonable... The_Big_M Posted March 14, 2018 #5 Share Posted March 14, 2018 Yes, you can't sell your cabin back, so the current pricing of your cabin isn't relevant for upgrades. It's just the difference between what you paid, against what the new cabin costs* *Note, for pricing on an upgrade rate. Sometimes specials are new bookings only in which case that rate isn't available for upgrades.
Rare MicCanberra Posted March 14, 2018 #6 Share Posted March 14, 2018 Those caveats about new bookings only, tend to get a lot of people upset.
