Will I See a Lower Drink Package Price

Recommended Posts

If I buy the drink package for both of us in the cabin, and one person cant go and we switch to another person, is the drink package automatically switched to the current people in the cabin? I see it on sale but hesitate to buy since my husband is possibly not going on the trip with me.

Yes, I believe anything purchased for that passenger slot stays with that passenger slot.

In any case, you can cancel anything you purchase up to 3 days beofre the cruise for a full refund to your credit card.

Another bev question - does the deluxe pkg allow you to get drinks on the rocks? I just noticed that it says mixed cocktails...my hubs likes whiskey on the rocks - is he gonna be able to swing that with the pkg I just bought?

Sure, no problem with "on the rocks". I get Jack on the rocks all the time.

Yes he can get it anyway he likes. I’ve never been charged extra for a double crown and coke.

I went with the Deluxe Beverage and VOOM for $61.00 for our upcoming cruise on Allure of the Seas in July. I'm not sure I'll see it go any lower than that, but feel like it's a pretty good deal...since VOOM is $15.99 on it's own, which brings my deluxe beverage price to about $45.00. :wine-glass::cocktail::tropical-drink::beer-mug::champagne-toast::whiskey-glass:

We just booked the deluxe/zoom for $58 for the Allure in September.

Drink packages are higher on newer and bigger ships. The price online is almost always with the advertised discount already figured in. It is based off the onboard list price. Recently, I have found onboard pricing seems to be between $55-63 a day. Gratuity is always 18% which is added at time of sale.

For my next cruise (Harmony), online price has varied between $48 and $45.

following since my cruise planner is showing it for $52.80 today for Symphony. :eek:clear.png?emoji-eek-1725Did I miss this BOGO sale?

I paid $45 on Monday for Oasis, and the price went up today to $48. It no longer shows the BOGO label either.

I haven't seen BOGO in some time on Drink Packages. I see often buy one and get one 50% of, It sounds logically that it is buy one at full price and get the second one free but its not, Also, the discount is figured off of onboard pricing. One day its $48 and then they offer buy one and get one 50% off and both are $45. Sure doesn't sound like 50% off second one,,,, LOL. but it is off onboard price. (plus gratuity ).

I managed to book it at $43 back in November (Black Friday), but haven't seen that price since. The lowest I've seen since then is the $45. As someone else said, you can always cancel and rebook if it goes lower.

When you cancel and rebook ... do you do that on the cruise planner or do you have to call?

Hello All - My cruise planner has the drink package at $45pp right now, lower than the $48 it was last week. Has anyone seen lower than that or should I snag while I can??

BOOK IT. That's a deal. And like what was said above, you can always cancel and re-book. It's simple to do.

I apologize for this may be a stupid question for the experienced cruiser, but I went to the Cruise Planner and there's no place there that mentioned the price for each package. Can you please tell this newbie where I can find this information? Thank you in advance.

I didn’t realise that $45 (the price last week) was so good. It’s $48 now. Will it likely go back down? I’m on Anthem in July.

Also, my initial plan was to buy Deluxe and Internet but I play the casino and I’m now of the understanding I may get a better internet rate on board? It’s currently $11 extra per day to add to my drinks package?

Any advice? It’s been 2 years + since I cruised Royal.

I would book it. If and when the price is lower, cancel and rebook. Refund may take a week or longer.

I just tried to buy the delux beverage package and it says all adults in the same room must purchase one also. My husband does not drink beer , soda or juices because he has been diagnosed with fructose malabsorption, everything has flown off the list of what he can have. I called royal and it was essentially sorry but your both must buy. So no drink package for me. I think this is crazy.

You may be able to call Royal again and Purshase a Beverage Package to meet the requirement.

This rule started January 1. At first they allowed for different reasons. Now they may let you do the Beverage package along with the alcohol package.
