JFK or EWR?

We'll be arriving in NYC on the Royal Princess next September 25th (a Tuesday). We can fly home from either JFK or Newark. Planning on using a car service. Any suggestions as to which airport to choose? The flights from both are around 2pm so time is not of the essence. Thanks!

Presumably Red Hook . What I'd like advice on is which airport is more convenient. I know they are approximately the same distance from Red Hook.

Even though LGA is going through construction headaches I'd still recommend it. Also, agree that Dial 7 or Carmel are the car services to use.

I'd pick whichever airport had the cheapest non-stop flights.

JFK or LGA to Red Hook is more convenient. EWR has two river crossings so there is always the risk of an issue with the river crossings. On top of that the car service or cab ride will be more money coming from EWR.

Thanks. LGA is not an option because our airline of choice (daughter works there and we get a break on airfare) does not fly to LGA from our home city. I guess JFK is the way to go.

JFK will be fine.

 

Be careful how early you book the flight.

 

Allow for the drive and for traffic and a lot of time for check in and the security lines.

 

I would book a flight at around 1:00 PM.
