cruising with grandaughters

Suggestions on cruising with granddaughters aged 11 and 8. I know first choice would be Disney. A little out of my price range. Second or third choices? And ideas on "kid sail free?". are they as good a deal as they seem?

Thanks,Mogens

Took our granddaughter on Oasis of the Seas. She absolutely loved the kids club, several times she skipped dinner in the MDR to have dinner with the kids club group with the new friends she had made. She also spent hours each day on the flow rider doing both bogie board and full surfing. Some nights the she was in the kids club well into the late night. She was 12 at the time. Only issue with kids club is that at age 10 and above they can sign themselves in and out when ever they want.

Agree that Royal Caribbean would be a good choice. Oasis class ships have so much to see and do. Would recommend Voyageur or Freedom class too.

As far as signing in and of Adventure Ocean, ages 9-11 can sign out, but you have to sign a permission slip allowing them to do that; it's not automatic. Twelve year-olds are allowed to sign in and out.
