New drink promotion for Divina and Seaside.

There is a new promo called “Drinks on Us” basically it’s unlimited drinks, you only pay the service charge and it’s available for anyone that is going to book or has already booked as long as you are not under the 90 days before sailing.

 

I booked it today on my already existing booking. Totally worth it in my mind.

Oh boo! That really sucks, but you’ll still have a great time! I hope they start extending this to everyone! If they keep this up there will absolutely have no problem carving out their own space in the North American market! Happy sailing friend.

I called them directly. Just be warned...I was on hold for 20 and talking for almost another 45 mins. But it got done. The rep said they’ve been adding these all day

Sounds like a good deal for bare minimum drinks (well).... For the frozen and umbrella/fruit cocktails you need to go deluxe...but even that at an additional $26/day seems like a good deal because you get everything including gelato and mini bar. Don't miss the gelato or covered chocolate bars...Amazing!!

I had to call in because my original booking had an added discount that had to be entered by the msc rep manually. There were certificate numbers and vouchers blah blah...

 

I didn’t want to mess it up myself, so I just sat and let them do it in their end...this way I have someone to blame. lol

 

Either way I hope everyone that can take advantage of this promo does. It’s fantastic. And here I thought I couldn’t be more excited for my sailing...well I was wrong...I can be. :D

I have made a list so I don’t miss anything... the gelato bar is definitely up there. Not a huge chocolate lover but I will still try just to say I did. Plus I must do the seafood tower from what I’ve been reading.

Comparing the new “Drinks On Us” cabin prices to the Fantastica prices that we booked or even the current Bella prices it appears that the new pricing is significantly pricier for our dates. Especially since we like to order more elaborate drinks than what is offered on the basic list. I think we may instead opt to buy the dinner wine package and stick with our Fantastica tickets for this sailing.

Increasing the basic fare when offering "free "drinks is no different than any other cruise line.

This becomes a good deal in terms of total price only when you planned on purchasing the deluxe beverage package regardless. I just repriced for a client and it was $100 cheaper when factoring in the upgrade to deluxe vs purchasing the deluxe in full under the old program.

That definitely does make sense from where you are coming from. I guess depending on the sailing and type of room, it works out well for some and not so well for some others. Either way, you will have an amazing time! Happy sailings :D

Just got off the phone with a rep. since we were upgraded to Aurea cabin, which does not come with any other benefits. We are not eligible to get the package as ceuise it totally booked and they cannot give us a downgrade in cabin. Back to.a Bella cabin which would make us Eligible. CRazy reasoning

Prior to the new “Drinks on Us” promotion I believe that all US reservations at the Fantastica level included the 12 drink vouchers per passenger. The vouchers should be placed in your cabin by your steward prior to your arrival. They are booklets of actual paper tickets that you hand to the bartenders/waiters when you order drinks.

 

Now with the change to the "Drinks on Us" for the Seaside and Divina I think they are phasing out the drink vouchers for Fantastica.

After some consideration Pam and I have decided to go with the new Drinks on Us promo combined with a downgrade to Bella in place of our prior Fantastica cabin for our September sailing.

 

The only reason we had originally chosen Fantastica was for the drink vouchers so switching to Bella made sense since the vouchers are nullified by the new “Drinks on Us” promo.

 

We did have to pay a nominal amount more for the Bella cabin under the new promo compared to the previous Fantastica. We also then added the $26/pp/day Deluxe beverage upgrade to this.

 

Based on our original plans to add the dinner wine package and the water package to our original booking it was only a couple hundred more to just go with the new Drinks on Us promo with the Deluxe upgrade. This will allow us to try the gelato and specialty coffee as well.

 

Plus apparently the the Deluxe package the gratuities are included in the price and not charged extra per drink like the “Drinks on Us”.

 

So many thanks go out to Kruise Kween for giving us the heads up about this new promotion!

 

P.S. The MSC cruise consultant said that the supply of Bella cabins in our category for our sailing was very limited therefore it was very likely in his opinion that we would be getting a one category upgrade as well!

Yes they are, or at least they have always been. I don’t know if they will going forward. Maybe they are trying to go away from the vouchers in the future, and that’s why they are doing this promo now. When I went on the divina last year we went to pick ours up at the casino once we boarded.

Wow! That would be amazing if you did. I’m glad you and Pam decided to take the plunge and get the package and that it ended up working out in your favour.

 

I’m just happy that I was able to spread the news and maybe help some people’s cruise be that much more enjoyable by not having to worry about the final invoice, because I know that is almost always in the back of my mind.

Can anyone tell me the major differences between the classic and the delux package as the info regarding the newpromotion states that you can upgrade to delux for $26 pp/pd or to classic for $18 pp/pd. We are fru fru drink people..like frozen strawberry pina coladas, mojitos, also would be interested in the idea of having unlimited milkshakes, gelato, smoothies etc..basically would we need to upgrade to the delux or the classic?
