Escape vs. Breakaway?

I was just wondering if someone who has cruised both ships could tell me the differences on the Escape, good and bad. We cruised on the Breakaway in December, so wondering what's worse or better or the same about the Escape.

Thanks!

Escape is longer, taller, wider, heavier and usually carries more people. :p

The standard side balconies on Escape are deeper but the aft-facing balconies (depending on deck) on Breakaway are deeper. Restaurants are different, hot tubs are a bit different, a couple of stateroom types are different but the 2 ships are more alike than different. The layout of the 2 ships is pretty much the same. One is a Breakaway class and the other is a Breakaway Plus class so there isn't going to be much difference between the 2.

If you liked Breakaway, you'll probably like Escape a bit more.

We sailed both, and the Escape was by far our preference. It seemed more spacious in the common areas, which equals a different vibe. It felt less hurried and more relaxing. We sailed both during a school vacation week, so I have to think the number of passengers was about the same as far as that goes. We enjoyed the numerous quiet spaces, the casino layout and the wide variety of food choices.

Both ships are very nice, but for us the the Escape was the best.

The Escape is an improved upgraded version of the Breakaway. The main pool deck is more spacious on Escape. The ropes course adds another level on Escape. There are more bar and restaurant choices on Escape. Some of the hot tubs are cantilevered off the side of the ship on Escape. Escape moves the kids club down to deck 5. Entourage stays in the same place. Haven is a deck taller on Escape...

The Escape is a Breakaway Plus class ship. Take the Breakaway and add a deck of additional rooms.

The Escape takes the lessons learned from the Breakaway and Getaway and adds some facilities to support the additional passengers.

We have sailed on both ships 3-4 times. Escape is our favorite.
