CanuckonaBoat Posted April 8, 2018 #1 Share Posted April 8, 2018 I've done some reading to understand embarkation in Barcelona - but I'm not clear on using a taxi. Can the taxi drop us right at the terminal building for check-in? Or do they drop us at the entrance to the port and we have to take the Blue bus??? thank you! Rare WrittenOnYourHeart Posted April 8, 2018 #2 Share Posted April 8, 2018 When I cruised out of Barcelona on RCCL the taxi dropped me off at the terminal.
mommb Posted April 8, 2018 #3 Share Posted April 8, 2018 Taxis pick up at the terminal, so I am fairly sure they can also drop off at the terminal. Sent from my iPad using Forums

Klou142 Posted April 10, 2018 #5 Share Posted April 10, 2018 Yes they definitely drop you right off at the terminal. Have travelled on Disney Magic many times from Barcelona :)
moki'smommy Posted April 12, 2018 #6 Share Posted April 12, 2018 The taxi will take you all the way to the terminal. Definitely. We also have gone out of Barcelona several times.
EnricM Posted April 12, 2018 #7 Share Posted April 12, 2018 The terminal, or to be exact, in any of the five terminals.
ince4150 Posted April 15, 2018 #8 Share Posted April 15, 2018 has anyone ever used cabify or uber to get to the port (vs. a taxi)?
hkto Posted April 15, 2018 #9 Share Posted April 15, 2018 I checked Uber estimate online it maybe cheaper than 39€ airport to port fare. However last time I went to Europe I couldn't even use Uber due to their "wonderful" design feature that expect user to have their original sim card when making a booking. I didn't have it (had Spanish one) and it wanted validation code that was sent to original #. So are couple of € saved worth extra data charges? Probably not Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
grayjay Posted April 18, 2018 #10 Share Posted April 18, 2018 Taxis in Barcelona - either to or from the airport - have fixed prices which are very reasonable, so I wouldn't bother with Uber. And a dispatcher will help you get the next taxi in line and you'll be certainly deposited right at the terminal you'll have to go to. Sometimes it helps to write down the number of the terminal ( out of your cruise documents) and/ or the name of the ship as not that many Spanish texi drivers speak English. Rare ollienbertsmum Posted April 19, 2018 #11 Share Posted April 19, 2018 I would say definitely take a regular taxi, but do have the port address written down to show to the driver. We did have a driver once who didn't sound sure. I think he was new, but the written address sorted it.
