NCL Garden Villa Question

I know there is a limit on registered guests in the Villa. How many "Friends" can "Hangout" during the day? There will be 20-30 guests in our group. Trying to figure out if it is worth the expense if we will be segregated from the rest of the Wedding party.

You have an entire section of the upper deck, I think they would fit.

 

Easy answer though, go review videos of your GV, count the available outside chairs. This will give you a decent idea of what sort of capacity the suite handles.

we stayed in Garden Villa on the Dawn...you can easily entertain 20-30 in the courtyard or on upper deck

One half of deck 14 (your cabin space) and one half of deck 15 is all yours to entertain as you wish.

Just arrange with your Butler and Concierge for whatever services you require.

 

The area on deck 15 can easily accommodate 50 for any party weather permitting.

I don't have any experience, but one would think that allowing a haven passenger to bring in 20-30 friends who are not haven passenger's kind of defeats the purpose of the "private haven area". Especially if everyone was to do something similar. I'd keep the guest count to a minimum, if nothing else than to think of other haven passenger's who may want a bit of solitude of the private area.

The Garden Villa is a it's own private area, Separate from the Haven Area...

GV area is completely separate from “private Haven area”.

You have a huge area outside to entertain. Visually blocked from rest of ship.( unlike Haven courtyard which has upper sun deck open to all ship passengers. They hang on railing and gawk at Haven guests below. This is for Jewel class ships) not private at all. We hated this.

Private door to access hallway to GV. No one in Haven would know what you are doing except escorting your guests off elevator or stairs.

I would have my family there for sure. You also have your private hot tub. Enjoy it.

GV is a little bit different than Haven, they have their own deck area, outdoor hot tub and large entertaining areas indoors. This area is exclusive for the GV and their guests.

 

Now, if they were having those guests in the common areas of the Haven or at the Haven restaurant your point would be valid.

You can review Youtube videos and other sources - that missing - if you have been on the DAWN or the STAR

and been to Cagney's and or Moderno and the Mohito Bar - now move all this square footage up one deck

and share it with only one other GV tenant your neighbor. But this is not all of it - move this whole floor plan

up one more deck to a wide open space with enough room to host a huge party -50- or more. It is all private

a wall separates the other half of space that your neighbor enjoys - there are common doors so that if you

are occupying both GV quarters you have 1/4 of the entire deck 14 and 15 for your party.

Know where the Basketball court is on deck 14 everything forward of that point to the jogging track overlooking

the pool area is the area covered by these two GV quarters. Truly an awesome amount of private space.

We just sailed the Dawn in March and had GV 14000. Our group was 28 people and we had birthday party's and dinners in the Villa for our group. No worries or concerns We even planned our own private sail away party for our group on the top deck as we sailed out of Tampa.

 

We were able to obtain 5 extra elevator access key cards for our group to join us. If not we just met them and brought them up to the GV. It's the perfect place for a party with all the space in the suite and especially the decks ENJOY and host your friends in your Villa.

It is your cabin, you can bring as many as you like and your guests can smoke on your deck as they please also

Good morning, May I ask what you asked for at your sail away party?..We have a Gem GV in June and were thinking of doing the same. :)

I would cruise the Star QV each time as long as they UP grade us each cruise as they did once in the past. We had a rear penthouse suite BOOKED and called and asked if we would take the Owners Suite on the BOW, that was a great room.

the next year we booked the same rear penthouse and they once again called to move us to the Owners Suite, told them we loved the room but not the front balcony when underway....windy

I told them that if I would take a GV if not sold yet. She said she had no idea about that cabin but would pass my thoughts to her supervisor.

Well damn if someone didn't call a few days later,

Long story but it was great, and that roll call for that cruise I posted that anyone from CC could visit our cabin and take tour after we set sail. The butler was told that we would be having guests and he and another person set up a food buffet outside on the dinning table drinks, snacks, small other food items.

It was pretty cool stay, we didn't even leave the ship that week, just relaxed on our deck, hottub, sauna, and played in all three beds.

Nice upgrade! We too, when in the GV don’t leave the room much. Lol. It’s a great way to spend quality time, spoiled rotten with our friends and family.
