firsttimecruiser9876 Posted April 10, 2018 #1 Share Posted April 10, 2018 I want a mid ship balcony on an May 17 sailing. Balconies say sold out (all except 1 which is aft balcony which we do not want.) What are my chances of something opening up?
asalligo Posted April 10, 2018 #2 Share Posted April 10, 2018 Are the suites sold out also? If so, your chances are slim as you are far past the 90 day mark. If there are Suites available though, then the balcony cruisers will be getting calls offering to upgrade and balconies will come open. You will have to stay on it though and check daily, because lower cruisers will soon after get offers to move to those balconies.
serene56 Posted April 10, 2018 #3 Share Posted April 10, 2018 its 37 days away. They have already started assigning balcony cabins to people who booked a guarantee have you changed the number of people on a cabin-- does it give you more availability? Have you called to see what else is available?
wemjam Posted April 10, 2018 #4 Share Posted April 10, 2018 I would say slim to none on a chance... one might pop up, but if you don't catch it right away someone else may.
firsttimecruiser9876 Posted April 13, 2018 Author #5 Share Posted April 13, 2018 It’s funny, I was following an April cruise which was sold out, now it’s not. Funny how this works.

Towel Critter Posted April 16, 2018 #10 Share Posted April 16, 2018 There will be cancellations. There always are. If you keep a very close watch you might get lucky.
riffatsea Posted April 17, 2018 #11 Share Posted April 17, 2018 What ship?? We used to always stay midship and then our last cruise on Splendor we wanted a spa cabin and they are all forward soooo we had one on Deck 10 and it was just fine! We were surprised that it wasn't any more of a problem than our usual mid ship spot on deck 6 or 7. I say book the forward suite.
