Micahs Grandad Posted April 25, 2018 #27 Share Posted April 25, 2018 Looks like Carnival continues to be a world leader in offering body slides. :) For the record, I'd be pretty leery of those too....and I really like water parks and body slides. But it is a BRILLIANT change for sure
Rare BlerkOne Posted April 25, 2018 #28 Share Posted April 25, 2018 As far as I know, only Princess has MES stations for passengers, typically only used when booked well over double occupancy. AFAIK, Princess is still instructing people in how to jump over the side during the "mustard" drill.
chengkp75 Posted April 25, 2018 #29 Share Posted April 25, 2018 AFAIK, Princess is still instructing people in how to jump over the side during the "mustard" drill. That should be taught at all muster drills, on every line (though not all do), as it is a viable way to get off the ship in extremis, but can be dangerous if done improperly. The chutes have baffles inside that slow you down so you're not hitting the raft as fast as if you jumped right down into it.
Micahs Grandad Posted April 25, 2018 #30 Share Posted April 25, 2018 It's not missing, it's dangling down the side of the ship. Wonder if you can book that hanging lifeboat at a discounted fare:)
