Upgrade Offer

So, I am sailing on the Victory and was offered a no charge upgrade from a Deck 6 forward balcony to a Deck 9 forward balcony. I know that Deck 9 has the pool and all, but is it the upgrade worth it? The cabin is towards the front of the ship, will I still hear late night noise from the pool area?

My wife and I had a balcony on the Triumph (9254) and we heard no noise from the Lido deck. When the ship is underway, the wind carries most of the noise to the rear. It should not be a problem. Great location, in my opinion.

All else being equal, a higher deck beats a lower deck, in my view.

I would absolutely move to the Lido deck.

I would definitely do it. Deck 6 has public areas right below it. Deck 9 forward has nothing but cabins above and below it. Less chance for noise, and you are on the Lido deck, so you are closer to the action.
