amscene1 Posted May 1, 2018 #1 Share Posted May 1, 2018 That’s really all. It was a great deal and I saved a lot due to it. Although I thought they would extend or replace with free gratuity’s. Any one else save on this deal? Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Lori3015 Posted May 1, 2018 #2 Share Posted May 1, 2018 I was searching this morning and some cruises still show free taxes. For instance one I saw was a cruise on Getaway to western Caribbean.
amyh13 Posted May 1, 2018 #3 Share Posted May 1, 2018 I did. We booked earlier in the year when they had $1 deposits and 3rd/4th guests free. We booked, along with several other families, a Western Mediterranean for June 2019. I looked at the difference when the tax free promotion was announced and the total was $103. That is almost 2 days of tips for my family of 4. I called and they adjusted my rate. I just had to pay $98 as the deposit required had changed to $50. I, like you, would love it if they would replace it with the free gratuities but won't hold my breath, seems other cruise lines offer that perk more than NCL does.

adam_s_allen Posted May 1, 2018 #7 Share Posted May 1, 2018 I was searching this morning and some cruises still show free taxes. For instance one I saw was a cruise on Getaway to western Caribbean. The Cruise I have booked still shows tax free. But when you go to complete the booking you don’t get it.
Big E Dawg Posted May 1, 2018 #8 Share Posted May 1, 2018 Yes we took advantage of this promo and saved. Will be watching to see if it comes back around with OBC included. It offset the sting of the increased prices for 2019 cruises.
Sand and Seas Posted May 1, 2018 #9 Share Posted May 1, 2018 I'm always watching for this and the free gratuities promo. I haven't seen the free gratuities for quite some time but I found some of my notes that showed they also ran this Tax Free promo from sometime last April to May 8th 2017 (when I booked it.) We got two cruises booked with this recent Tax Free deal. I'm especially excited we got the Encore with this deal for January 2020:cool:
erdoran Posted May 1, 2018 #10 Share Posted May 1, 2018 Saved $310 on Breakaway Feb, 2018 W Caribbean cruise....but because I changed dates I lost $425 in OBC which I had on my previous date, Dec 23-30, so net loss....but I'm saving $3k on cruise fare so it's all good.
