Rare erewhon Posted July 2, 2018 #26 Share Posted July 2, 2018 I just got off Maasdam, she is in fine shape a little touchups here and there [and will probably be done in drydock] and she is fine. Lanai stateroom loungers clearly marked. Never heard of any toilet problems - I didn't have any. Lots of families with children of all ages - even grownup ones.Everyone seemed to be having a good time. Internet was in a weekly package - 3 tiers to choose from - no counting minutes. There were 24 hour and by the minute - if that was all you needed. Thank you for posting your comments.
daisy-mae Posted July 2, 2018 #27 Share Posted July 2, 2018 Thanks for the info. I think we will play it safe and forgo making a reservation. Just a quick update, now that we have returned from our cruise. The immigration process off Bar Harbor was relatively quick; however, because we wanted to return our passports to our stateroom safe, we were delayed in taking the tender, and would have missed the bus tour (had we chosen to reserve in advance). We decided instead to rent two electric bikes - which allowed us to visit the park at our leisure. The total cost (with park admission of $15.00 each!) was somewhat steeper than anticipated, but enjoyable nonetheless. The Maasdam has obviously seen better days, but the condition did not detract from our cruise experience, and the wonderful crew more than made up for any shortcomings...
