Kyle’s Wife Posted May 26, 2018 #1 Share Posted May 26, 2018 1st time NCL cruiser. When I booked our trip through NCL the lady doing our reservation said drinks are free in the casino, we’re traveling on the Getaway, if that makes a difference. I was just speaking with a friend yesterday, whose been on many NCL cruises and said she doesn’t believe that’s the case. Does anyone know if drinks are offered free in the casino? Rare BirdTravels Posted May 26, 2018 #2 Share Posted May 26, 2018 No free drinks in the casino. (Unless you used a land-based casino certificate). You have to be a casino guest (booked through the casino) or earn 2500 points ($12,500 in slot play) to get a casino drink card. That will get you basic drinks. Higher play (higher tier) will get you a better drink card ($25k, $75k, $175k, $500k).

When I wasn't a guest of the casino I would ask the casino manager if he saw me playing for a while if I could get a free drink and most times would get me a drink. Most times after that if the same casino manager saw me playing would offer me a drink. But it's not like land casinos. If you book via casino at sea you will have a drink card waiting for you in your room. The casios as sea cards are great since they allow you to get red bull! newmexicoNita Posted May 27, 2018 #9 Share Posted May 27, 2018 Drinks are free in CT, but not in MA or PA. One doesn’t dictate the other. Same here: drinks are free in Mississippi but not OK. or AR. Of course in AR all we have is one casino and it is at the race track.
